Very good tool for high weeds
This blade works well on very high (tough) weeds that string trimmers can’t take out. Make sure you get the adapter kit for your Makita string trimmer.

Cuts very well and maybe can be sharpened
This blade works really well. I use it with a 36V Makita electric power head and could not be happier. I no longer use my gas power head at all.I believe the blade can be flipped over to use the other edge but double check with Makita to be sure. Same with sharpening. It is thick enough that sharpening may be possible but likely follow whatever Makita has to say on the matter to be safe. I have successfully sharpened mine for years without issues. I have other blades that work well too, but the Makita is at least as good. It has taken down some pretty good sized small trees and saplings.

Cuts through thick vines well.
I like the way this blade cuts through some thick fiberous vines. I live in the country in a wooded area and this blade gets the job done right.

Good, not great.
It seems to wear more quickly than I'm used to with brushcutter blades, though at least it can be flipped over to use the other side of the blade. The blade edge profile is not very deep to begin with, thus as wear tends to round off the top part of the leading edge , one loses not only sharpness, but length of the cutting surface.

The right tool for cutting down field
Easy to put on. Cuts very well.

cheap
works well with stringey brush, not so much with small trees/saplings

This cutter provides a real safety issue
I bought this product hoping it was a perfect fit for my newly bought makita weed wacker. There could be nothing further from the truth. There is just a 1 inch hole in the centre of the cutter to fit over a shift of about 5/16" diameter. So I made a bushing to give it a closer fit. The vibration in the wacker makes this tool not only unusable but down right dangerous. Ever at the lower speed of the wacker the vibration is so severe that it would pluck it from your grasp. I am surprised that makita would sell this as an assessory and I am even more surprised that Amazon would carry it and label it as an assessory. It is a real safety issue. I could not recommend anyone to purchase thus, not even my enemy.

Works great.
Works a treat. Easy to sharpen and goes through surprisingly thick brush.

Looks like a proper tool
Haven’t used yet, wrong time of year for hacking brambles due to nesting birds. Looks tough.

Good, but extra sharpening helps
After extra sharpening, cuts without any problem! .

Gute Schneidleistung
Also unbedingt Gehörschutz tragen!

Made in Japan, sondern inzwischen Made in China.
