how many rods of each length? If I want to demonstrate 4 x 8...are there 8 rods that represent "4"?

I bought the six sets and there are plenty of rods to demonstrate problems. In the Learning Resources Cuisenaire Rods Small Group Set for $19.25 there are 155 rods, so I'm sure there would be enough to show 4x8. FYI 4 x 8 means four sets of eight, so it would be four brown rods. 8 x 4 would be eight of the 'pinkish' rods. If you are buying the multi-pack shown on the left and are using them with 6 children, they will have to share as the problems get up to 9x9. If you are working in a classroom, they have colored plastic rods available to use on the overhead which are really good for demonstrating.

Please clarify whether there are 244 rods, or 6 sets of 74 rods. These are two different numbers. 6 sets of 74 rods isn't 244, it's 444 rods. Which?

Hey there! It's 6 sets of 74 rods which would be 444 total rods. Feel free to contact us with any other questions you may have to reveiw@learningresources.com.

Does this include six sets of Rods?

Yes, you will get 6 sets of 74 rods.
