An important contribution to the Arts Therapies libraries and essential reference book for dramatherapists working with trauma.
Any dramatherapist working with those suffering from trauma should have a personal copy of this book, as should supervisers and educators in the Arts Therapies realm. The editors provide a history of trauma theory and comprehensive review of the field, including research and the evidence base for using dramatherapy. The contributors provide models for working with different populations and provide practical examples. This book will be useful to the experienced practitioner and to those just embarking on their career as dramatherapists (it emphasises the need for pratitioners to develop skills in the assessment of trauma). Whether you work with individuals, groups, children or adults there is useful guidance in this book.
