Soldered into place and saved me from ordering a new trimmer

Unsoldered the old battery , soldered in the new battery, and it did not charge. Had to unsolder the new battery, and solder in the old battery, which worked. I wanted to replace the original battery which has lost some of its lasting charge. What a pain in the a___. Amazon was excellent with the return with packaging, shipping, and credit. I am very impressed.

I had my old battery for 18 years. The secret is to not have it plugged in charging unless it needs it. This new battery is fine. The tool they sent with it did not work with my trimmer, but it was made with a Phillips type screw so no issues.You will have to desolder and solder the new one in. I had a little problem getting the battery and electronics back into the handle as the ribbon cable was not going in well. After a few attempts it got it to go.

I wanted to keep this razor/trimmer as its rechargeable cord was the same as my razor I use in traveling.I had to take the whole works to a repair shop for installation, however, as it needed to be reworked to match the terminals in the razor - needed to be soldered in. Battery itself functions well.

Battery fits and works perfect. Need to know a little bit about soldering.

The battery is good, the tool is nice quality, however the screw on my trimmer was a phillips and the supplied tool was a torx. I didn't realize how involved it was taking apart the Norelco T860, it took quite a bit of praying I was doing it right and force. The battery also did not have holes for soldering the wires as displayed in the photo, so I punched my own.The coaster is awesome! Best coaster I have ever owned! /s
