Sunlite40130-SU SB122/32C120 2 Lamp FC8T9 & FC12T9 Fluorescent Circline Ballast, 120-volt

I liked that the order arrived on time or even possibly earlier than expected. In addition the product was a close copy to the old one I replaced and worked without a problem.

This item was exactly what I wanted and it was easy to install.

Install was quick and easy.

The bathroom light I was replacing was more than 30 years old, but against local advice I installed another florescent ballast, this one to be exact. For the first month it worked fine, but then it started to go bad. By the second month it failed completely. Do yourself a huge favor and install LED instead. It's cheaper and will last much longer.

I bought this and another more expensive one to replace the bad one in my fixture. My electrician installed this one because it fit the fixture better. So far it is working well.

The ballast for my florescent bar sign has been failing for years, I've able to get the bulb started by carefully plugging and unplugging and eventually the bulb would light. Finally, even this cumbersome startup procedure failed and it was clear I needed to replace the ballast. The Sunlite seemed to be the right replacement given the bulb size and this turned out to be true. Note, that there are 2 output connections; I thought they may be interchangeable but that is not the case. There is a connector for a single bulb, and a connector for a 2nd bulb. Using the 2nd bulb for a single bulb doesn't quite work correctly. Once I used the right connector, all was well. The sunlite ballast is slightly smaller and definitely lighter than the original.

The ceiling mounted florescent fixture in our kitchen did not work. Located the (circular) lamps at a local store, but that wasn't the issue... Googled the ballast make and model, and of course, a replacement from a Canadian source was crazy-expensive -- like, more than the cost of the 5 year-old fixture! A quick search of suitable replacements yielded this Sunlite product, and thanks to Prime next-day delivery we didn't have to make coffee in the dark!Given that the specs (at least the ones that mattered) were identical to the original ballast, the only concern was size and connector wire length. It all worked out just fine. YAY!

Should say 2 lamp fc8t9 "or" instead of "and" Fc12t9 if works for 2 of each as it seems that it might be only rated for 1 of each

I smelt the unmistakable odor of burnt armature wire in the in the kitchen, the ballast soon failed.I bought two of them to take advantage of free shipping, now I have a spare which I will eventually use.The ballast is working fine and by the looks of it, should last a long time.
