If you're 5'10 or over, don't bother
I am a full time student and my program requires studying basically all day, every day. I am often in my office for 16 hours per day. I needed a chair that would be comfortable, supportive, and of quality so it lasts.I bought this chair because of the outstanding reviews. Unfortunately, I did not find it so outstanding. I am 5'10 and based on the reviews, this chair should have fit me well. It did not. It stopped halfway along my thigh length and caused my legs to start to go numb not long after sitting on it. Similarly, the seat cushion was wildly uncomfortable after a couple hours. The chair made my tail bone hurt and I felt like I was sitting on no foam at all. Super uncomfortable. The arm rests are also a hard plastic that would rub against my skin. I kept wanting to put a blanket under my arms to stop the constant skin burn I was getting. For such an expensive chair, I shouldn't have to put something under my arms to stop irritation.I will say that the actual back of the chair and headrest were quite nice. My back felt very supported and I did not have any problems with that portion of the chair. The adjustability was really nice to make it fit my body.Uplift gives you 30 days to "try" the chair with the option to return it during that time. In order to return it, you have to pay the return shipping, put the chair back in its original box and pack it with the original packing. The chair can also not be damaged in any way or they have the right to reduce your refund. I understand the not damaging the chair part. Fine. But paying for return shipping?! The size of the box makes all of the carriers (fedex, ups, usps) use the dimensions of the box instead of the weight for shipping costs. IT COST ME $160 WITH FEDEX GROUND TO RETURN THIS CHAIR (cheapest option). I even had a discount from fedex to make the return! So, without a discount, you will definitely be paying over $200 to return a chair that is over $300. Bad ploy from the company to make you keep their shit chairs.DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIR UNLESS YOU ARE 100% SURE YOU WANT TO KEEP IT AND IT WILL BE THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU!!!!! THE COMPANY HAS A CRAP RETURN POLICY AND YOU PAY FOR ALL RETURN SHIPPING.Buyer beware!

Love this chair!
I've had this chair for over a year and love it. The chair is very comfortable to sit in long term and I love how stylish it is as far as task chairs go. Full disclosure: We purchased the chair locally from the UPLIFT store in Austin. It's held up really well. I'm a photographer and edit photos so I need something that is good for long periods in front of a computer. I highly recommend this chair. I'm 5'9 and I have no trouble with the size. My husband is 6'0 and has never had issues with it either.

Not worth the price for me
+ Great adjustability options.+ Mesh back is a good middle ground between stiff/soft+ Lumbar support is decent+ Pull out lever to adjust the stiffness of the recline is nice, instead of trying to man handle those traditional huge knobs under the seat- Stiff seat cushion. This might be good for those that like a stiff seat, but I found it overly stiff. I much prefer a middle ground between stiff and soft.- Arm rests are annoying when you recline. They don't stay straight and recline with the chair and will put the arms on an extreme angled incline. This causes issues with the edge of the table if you like to tuck yourself into the desk a bit while reclining, as the height of the arm rests go up when you tilt. The further back you recline, the higher up they go. I much prefer my old chair where the arm rests stay straight when you recline.- Seat has comfort grooves for your legs, so the seat is slightly wavy due to the concaves for your legs and it's not flat like a traditional seat. If you like to sit in weird positions like crossing your legs, sitting on your legs, sitting angled, constantly readjusting sitting position, etc - this isn't good, as paired with the stiff seat, it feels like you're sitting on a stiff ocean wave when not sitting perfectly straight on it.- The edge of the seat where you legs hang off has a large hump that digs into the back of my mid thigh if. The edge of the seat does not feel subtle at all like my other chair. The more you recline, the worst it gets. My other chair, the edge of the seat has a sharp roll off that feels natural and no discomfort.- Wheels making a rattling noise when rolling around at times.- Slight creaking plastic sounds when reclining fast, or putting weight on the headreset.- Arm rests are super stiff. It's a hard plastic with zero padding or cushion. If you are thin person, it will dig into your bones after an hour.- Seat has a slight wobble.- Wheels make a rattling noise when you roll around sometimes.- The click mechanism when locking/unlocking sometimes gets stuck and you have to rock back and forth and fiddle with the paddle on/off for it to unclick.- Lumbar support extremely hard to adjust. The wheel is super stiff and hard to turn.Yeah, for nearly $500, this chair isn't worth it. I have an AllSteel Relate I paid $200 on sale for and it's much more comfortable. I'm not sure if it's still sold anymore, though.

2 year daily use review
After using this chair daily for the past 2 years, I can affirmatively conclude that it is designed for individuals shorter than 6ft (max 5'10"). The seat depth is insufficient for longer legs and the back support tapers towards the top. Both of the deficiencies create discomfort in the legs and shoulders/shoulder blades. Take the high reviews of this chair with a grain of salt. If you are spending more than $300 on a office chair, you deserve a chair that is equally as comfortable as it looks good.

Disappointed in Quality
Last year I purchased a desk and this chair directly from Uplift. At first, I loved the chair. I liked the style, color, for me it was comfortable as I like a firmer seat. But the love soon faded as within a few weeks the chair started developing pops, creaks, and squeaks. Any time I recline the chair or put my head on the headrest there are distinct POP noises that are heard. Now I cannot swivel the chair in the slightest without it sounding like a creaky door opening! It is really quite a cheap product and that is disappointing. I do not recommend this chair.
