Amazon Brand - MERAKI Women's Midweight Jersey Tunic Dress

I bought this for work in school, to wear in a heatwave, because it looks loose fitting and might cover my weight gain during lockdown. I was pleased with the dress. The material is a little thicker than I imagined, and yet because of the loose fit, it is still possible to wear it in hot weather and be comfortable. My only issue is that it doesn't flatter my round shoulders, but I find that if I wear it high up on my neck and lower down the back, it looks better. Apart from the shoulders, it has a really interesting cut which means it is very loose around the awkward middle areas where I have put on weight, and yet flatters the legs, hanging just above the knees. It has an eighties slightly bat wing effect under the arms. Overall I am please with the dress and look forward to wearing it beyond the summer into Autumn and winter too.

This dress is MASSIVE and very unflattering. It's like putting a black bin liner on, hangs loose everywhere, not nice at all

The material is not breathable and so it's better for cooler days. It's holds a great drape all day though.I love the cut and it's such an easy to wear casual dress. There's nothing to fault on it apart from that I wish it was made from cotton or had cotton in it. I'd be happier to pay more for it too if that were the case.I'm a 14 in dresses and I was stunned that this size S fit me so well - it was even baggy and hid my belly. If I'd ordered a 14, I reckon it would have swamped me. So I think this dress might be styled super-baggy.4 stars because I adore the fit and the style of this dress. But I wish it was in a more breathable material.

Amazon Vine have been kind enough to supply me with this navy blue Meraki dress.I have been given the Small size to review.My first impression of it is that it looks a little like an oversized t-shirt,rather than a dress.Having examined it more in depth it is in fact a dress-a loose fitting dress,so great if the lady doesn't want to wear anything too tight.The dress has 2 useful side pockets and 2 little material loops near the neck of the dress,which can be used to hang the garment up.I couldn't find the standard washcare instructions tag that is standard with clothing and was also missing the material composition tag.I found this to be a little strange but the garment is a well made dress and will serve as a present for my girlfriend.

I’m a big fan of the Meraki line, but I really don’t like this dress. Rather than being one size too big, as seems to be the norm for Meraki, this appears to be 2 sizes large. But the main reason I don't like the item is the fabric is too heavy (I would not class this as medium weight!) and it starting bobbling within two wears which really is poor.

The fabric is soft against the skin and doesn't crease easily, good definition of the colour navy. Size wise I definitely think it's a generous fit, possibly go down a size if you like a closer fit. Photo shows length on a five foot frame, works well with leggings as well. Casual look that can be accessorised with bold coloured jewellery or toned down, very versatile piece at a great price.

The material was exactly what I was seeking: a heavier-weight, polished knit. As other reviewers have noted, though, this is essentially a bag dress and one I wouldn't leave the house in. There is just no way to make this look attractive. For me, it arrived with no tags and cat hair on the dress.

Maybe it's just my apple shape, but this dress is very flattering on me. I liked the fabric weight and cut of the dress. I did take into account previous reviews and ordered my size accordingly.

Functional dress for the office. Easy to accessorize. Good quality fabric. For reference, I am 5’1” and 140 lbs. I ordered a small and it fit perfectly. Will be ordering this dress in the other colors.

I love the dress over all but was to big for me. It was my own mistake in ordering the wrong size. I will order again

I love love this dress. The fabric is soft and comfortable and the pockets are perfect. I ordered a small but was too big. I gave it to my sister and ordered an XS.

Look, I have tons of baggy shapeless things I like to wear, but this is really hideous. I gave it a bonus star for the pockets because pockets ALWAYS get a star, no matter how terrible the garment. But this.Problem 1: oversized oversizedI knew it was oversized. I went down a size. Still way too oversized. It’s large even for a baggy fitting garment, and I would recommend (not buying it) going down two sizes to look less like a construction paper cutout of a lopsided tapering rectangle.Problem 2: thick fabricUsually oversized garments pick slinkier or flowier fabric so the drape shows off some body parts when you move. This stiff, thick fabric has no movement, so you end up looking like a navy felt sock puppet of a kite.Problem 3: pocket bulgeThe pocket placement plus thick fabric create two weird bulges right at the widest part of the hip, so that’s fun. :-/Nothing like weird little lumps off each hip to round out the sock puppet/construction paper look.Maybe I’m having a bad day. But this just looked terrible. Just look at the pic. If you like that, then god bless and go buy it, but for me, this is one of the worst dressed I’ve product tested.

Okay, so this is tough to review, because I think it's a cool dress, it just didn't work on me. Let's break it down to pluses and minueses:Pluses:- the material feels heavy and dense, the stitching looks pretty good, so solid construction.- pockets! I love a dress with pockets- loose fit guarantees it will not cling to places you don't want to be clungMinuses- boxey fit. You really need angles to pull this off (bonus for a large chest in a good bra -- that will give you angles)- not sure how well it will wash. The price point of this dress worries me -- will it pill?- sizing is off. For me, the L was too big, and the M was too small.So, try it if you like, because I do love the style of this dress, but be sure that you have the option of a free return.

I had high hopes when I took this dress out of the package, it is made out of a high quality thick knit material. However when I held it up it was about twice as wide as I am. I normally wear between a M and L and I got this in a M.I thought maybe it would drape nicely when I put it on, but that was not the case. It is just huge. I was absolutely swimming in it. My husband and son walked in while I was trying it on and started laughing "what the heck are you wearing?" they asked. I am not super small (5'7" and 145lbs) but this made me look like a little kid.It really was awful, I tried putting a belt on it but the fabric is too thick and it bunches funny when you do that. I gave up and put it in the pile for donation (I got this for review so couldn't return it).The only good thing about this dress is that it has nice large pockets. Not recommended.

I adore this shift dress! I'm normally an xs, and this xs fit me nicely, if not a little too loosely. I can make it work, but just note if you are on the verge of a xs/small, then go with the xs as the design style is made to be super loose, and this brand runs just a tad larger. This dress is a beautiful navy color, and it's made of a material that is thick, definitely not see through, and dressy. I can easily add boots with a pretty cardigan, or sandals, or even dress pumps with a long tassel necklace to dress it up. So versatile, and simple to throw on, and head out the door, which is great for this working mom. And let's not forget the pockets! I love pockets, and this features hidden pockets on the side seams of the dress. I will say I even used this when I was pregnant, and it fit wonderfully then (this either says a lot about my 93 pounds self, or the dress fit itself), and still fits now. When I was pregnant I reached a whopping 121 pounds, and it honestly fit the best then. So if you are a normal small I would even consider getting the xs if you're around that weight frame. Otherwise, this is the best dress, and you can go from day to night easily!
