Merrell Men's Moab 2 Waterproof Hiking Shoe

Best shoes I have had in a long time. True to size. My feet don't slide around in the shoes.

If you have settled in on a Merrel boot as your essential hiking need than this hiking shoe is the greatest accessory when you need a break from the high ankle boot. it fits exactly the same as the boot. I use Merrell because of its traction, comfort and and it is a true wide... more in the extrawide range making room for that added layer socks. If you hike 4-8miles a day ( I'm retired with a 4 legged companion) you get a good year out of them. Yes you can were them out in the range of 2000 miles. Safety tip : always wear extra clamp on traction when hiking on icy conditions!

These are pretty good hiking shoes. I'm on my second pair - the soles last somewhere around 2 years with moderate+ use (~15 miles per week). They are not really waterproof but sort of. Being all synthetic they dry quickly. I can leave them tied and slip them on and off which is a plus. I have some foot and leg problems and these are roomy enough and provide reasonable support. Wish they had a bit more cushion.

These do seem to run tight but going up 1/2 size I was afraid they’d be too long in the toe area and I’d be swimming in them They’re just tight up around the top of my foot but maybe they’ll stretch out. This is my 3rd or maybe even 4 th pair of merrells, didn’t seem to have quite the same tight fitting issues on any of those Edit: these took a good 6 miles of hiking until they loosened up a bit for me. I seriously had my doubts in the beginning that I’d be sending these back for being too tight These are the first waterproof versions I’ve ever bought and the very first thing I did was go stand in the lake on my hike and they kept my feet dry! Stood in 3 different areas to really make sure too so I’m happy about that as there seems to be mixed reviews regarding just how waterproof they really are but I’m impressed so far! Edit: been walking through shallow creeks on our hikes and feet are 100%staying dry For the discounted price I snatched these up at I’m more than happy with that aspect, now I’m just hoping they break in comfortably

Love these. My 5th pair!

Had to start walking for my health and bought some new "expensive" tennis shoes because old ones really hurt my feet. I try to walk 5 miles ( 10,000) steps a day for 5 or 6 days a week and wow these new shoes are really great! I walk both hardtop road and hilly tractor trails. Feet don't hurt and walking is now a joy and not a burden! For me these are a perfect fit and well worth the $75.00 I paid for them! I will not be going back to the cheap shoe isle again!

I had my last pair of Merrell shoes for over 3 years before they started tearing. I tried other brands but none were as comfortable as my Merrells. Unfortunately the exact shoe was discontinued, so I went through all the options on amazon and ordered 3 styles: the Alverstone, this, and the All Out Blaze Aero. I do not hike that much, but I like the support and traction for whenever I do. For the most part, I was looking for daily shoes for me to wear to work. So YMMV depending on your desire for the shoe. This shoe was a bit narrower and tighter feeling in the standard width than all the other Merrell shoes I've tried. They also definitely felt larger and heavier. For only hiking, they might be the better option, but I returned them. For comparison sake: The Alverstone was the best all-around of the 3. The Blaze was super light and comfy, but I hadn't realized that the material was mostly a mesh which means water would go right into it. At first that was a disqualifier, but when I realized the number of times that would be an actual issue for me was very small, I decided to keep them and they are my daily shoe now. I kept the Alverstone as well for winter hiking and snowy days and to prolong the life of both. The Alverstones aren't as comfy as my old ones, but they're pretty close.

I've been in Merrells for 30 years and they never disappoint. Great looking shoe, comfortable, and the break-in period wasn't too bad; about two weeks. Great everyday shoe.

These were on sale at 1/2 price, but there was a slight kink in the fabric at the toe, which didn't impact the shoe in any way and made it more of a factor second, but I still loved them. So comfortable and grippy when out on the track. Will be looking at replacing them with another Merrell once they wear out.

Dislike: 1) Weight - Feels heavier than expected... Like I am wearing hiking boots. 2) Grip on wet surfaces - I experienced 2x near slip and trip incidences while walking over tiled surfaces, on the same rainy day. Rather disappointed with the traction grip on the sole.

Made in Myanmar an asian country, for business sense it would not be possible to compete if production wasn't moved out of USA. Will visit Myanmar one day.

Very comfy and waterproof especially against the snow. I ordered 14 inch even though there's no 13.5inch. Fits good. Not tight and I have a little space on my toes to move.
