Danner Men's Jag Low-M

Everyone else seems to be talking about comfort. These are my most comfortable shoes, so I'll leave that topic alone.I want to talk about the purpose of these shoes. I originally purchased them for an extended trip abroad, during which I wore them in sand, dirt, clay, gravel, rain, snow, hail, on ice, even in blistering heat, and pretty much every combination of those. I wore them in mountains and in flat areas, through grass and on asphalt and concrete. Only one time did I lose any traction and that was because I didn't know I was stepping onto ice. My feet only ever got wet times that i stepped in water that was deeper than the shoe was tall (allowing water to come into the foot-hole of the shoe). This shoe is certifiably rugged. To me, that's a major selling point, since my other pair of Danners is coyote brown.One note, that was not significant for me, was that the Oyster Gray shoes did get a little bit off-color as a result of the clay. I haven't tried to scrub it out yet, as I don't mind shoes that look like they've been worn.

I like the look and feel and made in Portland aspects. However there is little to know arch support. I was looking for an all in one show that was smart enough that I could go to work in and then go hiking with after work. There maybe a longer breaking in period where my feet will be comfortable enough. This shoe is designed for people that like no arch support.

This is my daily beater ! Love Danner ! I tried Danner first time, I am happy,"MADE IN AMERICA". I want to tell Danner to make more colors !!

I have somewhat flat feet and wear a wide. I ordered the same size as I would for a pair of Danner boots and these fit perfect. I'm not sure how well they will hold up to the test of time, they look a bit cheap. Overall I am happy with the product.

Have purchased many Danner shoes and haven't had any problems.Well made and long lasting

I really like these shoes but need better arch support. So, I will be trying different insoles in these.

Fit and quality typical of Danner products I have bought in the past. I was a little disappointed in the sole insert. It's okay but not great . This has usually been a quality feature of Danner shoes which I have bought in the past
