Brand New Blade: A Paranormal Academy Romance (Angel Academy Book 1) Kindle Edition

It's a 3.5 for me because it started off sounding YA before quickly turning into adult-level hotness.This turned out a lot better than I thought it would, considering I don't have a good streak of finding academy reads that miss their mark for me. The entire story is very fast-paced, but since I'm someone more invested in the characters and how they're built rather than the world building itself, I can say this is why I enjoyed it. Celeste had her best friend and befriended two others at the academy, but somewhere in the middle it turned college-hot very fast. They're all over 21 but the beginning reads like a YA urban fantasy, so I do admit to being a little thrown off when the sexy words started coming out. Pleasantly surprised, but still surprised lol.I most definitely wanna get the other books. This was a sorta slow-burn of reverse harem and I appreciated that thee guy she gives her heart to wasn't so judgmental or possessive. Breath of fresh air, if anything.

Nothing exceptional or memorable about the story, the book, or the characters. It touches all the themes of rh books, but everything is disconnected, rushed, or confusing. There are two, well written chapters, the battle, and the last chapter.

I found this book to be really interesting. It was more than just another Academy type story, and there was a lot more to Celeste than I thought. I liked all of the other characters in the book as well. They all had very different personalities, which made them more interesting. There's a lot more depth to the angels and demons portrayed and the story behind them. The storyline was intriguing and I am interested to see where this series will go.

Loved the story! Great characters, well-written. Really liked the angel connection. I am looking forward to in the next book!

I enjoyed this book. I gave it four stars instead of 5 because it would not remain open on my Kindle. I was able to read it on my PC.

I rarely read angel stories. The lead character could have been more sassy. The boyfriend had too many issues. I wanted more resolution,

I enjoyed this story! We get to meet Celeste and her bada** self in this opening. She is definitely capable of taking care of herself and has a temper. She runs into Benjamin who pretty much changes her life. He realizes that she is more than just human and he pulls her into a different world. Her best friend and roommate Charlie is also pulled in as well. Then she meets Zachary, Benjamin's best friend. This is the group that we follow around and get to know as they try and figure out exactly what is going on with both Celeste and Charlie. I really liked this story. It definitely sets up this series really nicely. We get some good twists within this one and it held my attention the entire time. I was definitely ready for more of these characters and to see where things go from here. It is a slow build with the romance aspect of things. We get to see a little build up for it between one of the characters and the others are a little slower. I'm super excited to see how everything is going to work out with the three guys and to see how they come to grips with it. I will definitely be checking out more books in this series.I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This book is a great start to the series I read it in any spare time I had because I wanted to know what happened next. However there were quite a few typos and missing words where you had to put in what youThought should be there hence the star loss. But I would definitely recommend this book despite this it has a great storyline and characters.

Book was good enjoyed it as stated it was slow burn romance but yeah very enjoyable i hope the rest of book are good
