How does this actually mount to a 19" rack? Any pictures?

I don't have a picture - but it came with a rail kit that made it very easy to mount. Size the rails to your rack depth, mount it, then slide the unit on the rails.

Will this work with front support only? Looking to install on switch rack no rear support.

Hello, The rails were designed specifically for a 4-post rack. It will not work in a 2-post rack. please let me know if you have any questions.

I do not see any side brackets, so how does it screw into the front of the rack or is there additional hardware required?

It is tool-less, no additional hardware (cage nuts or screws) is required.

is there a way to lock it closed for transit?

This unit does not have any locking nor latching mechanism. It seems to simply be hinged shut by some spring resistant hinges. You could clamp/lock it with external accessories - but it does not come with anything to lock/latch it closed.
