Zero Toys Wizard Stick

My son loves this thing. He has been asking for a fog machine for just about forever now but I couldn’t see our house covered in a layer of Halloween fog year round so this was a good compromise as you can’t have the stick continuously running like a fog machine.My son uses it to fill bottles with vapor and watches the swirls, likes to try and make o-rings with the vapor, fills containers with vapor and releases the vapor, and generally likes just releasing the vapor and enjoying the ambiance it creates. He’s 12 so I can’t account for his tastes or interests lolWe haven’t had an issue with the batteries running out but we do need a refill on the juice. Not a problem as that is an expected expense going into this purchase.

Very easy to use and runs on batteries which is nice. A lot of smoke generators need to be plugged in. This one won't create as much smoke as those but it does pretty good. You will need 6 AA batteries and they last a while. You simply fill up the little reservoir with the liquid that is included. Then you partially depress the button so it can heat up, then fully press the button and your smoke starts flowing. One thing about this is that it operates vertically as shown. you can't lay it down sideways and generate smoke with it. Good value for the money and it works.I have added a picture of a project I made with this smoke generator. It is a tree.

This works great for finding air leaks around windows, doors and any place else air passes through in a home. Just fill up and lightly hold down control for it to emit the smoke. Don't need much to detect air flow so don't hold down hard on the grip.

Though it is a toy, this was used professionally as a replacement for smoke sticks. Smoke from sticks is distinctly irritating, smoke from this unit is harmless. Produces copious amount of smoke, makes tracing air currents easy.

So far so good. I used this to find drafts and leaks around doors. Worked great. Mine leaked a bit when I first put the liquid in, but it was kind of hard to figure how much to fill in. After that, no problems. It also didn't set off any fire sprinklers or alarms, which is why its great to use instead of smoke sticks.

I wanted to create a fog experience and it takes several minutes of holding the handle down to get the item to work. Very little fog comes out at first, then more comes and you have to refill it again. Fog reservoir is worthless and very small. Messy to refill and just a pain to use. I don't recommend this product unless for a kid. Even then they won't be happy.

The video is misleading on how much fog is generated. Even with brand new batteries, the heating element doesn't get hot enough to generate a lot of fog. The switch on mine was flaky, and the wiring on the inside doesn't appear to be built for high current operations like running a heater of any kind. Better off with a vape pen and non-nicotine fluid..

Works great for nosework seeing how "odor" can move (no the "smoke" is not smelly). Just don't want to use it where someone may think you are starting a fire!It also works great in my photo studio for small special effects.
