I read many reviews online (not just amazon) prior to choosing this camera and it does not disappoint. This model (and the slightly larger 522) always seemed to take the top reviews. I chose this one because I wanted a smaller form factor than the 522 and it gives me all the same features minus the larger screen size (which I don’t even see when it is mounted) and the polarizing filter (which can be added on if I choose). The video it great. The app to download it to my phone is just ok. Sometimes it is quirky on connecting. So far, the suction mount has held tight without issues. The build quality is excellent, it feels solid, and I love the way it attaches to the mounting bracket via a magnet (very strong too). The attachment allows the wire to remain plugged into the bracket and not directly to the camera itself, making it a cleaner install and easier to remove as needed. I bought the kit to hardwire it, which I received, but I’m still waiting on the company to send me the proper compatible fuses. They promise they will ship them free of charge, but since they come from England, it has become quite a wait. Until they come, I can’t finalize the install so the wire is hidden.

I bought this dash cam and started ysing it in September 2019. It worked well at first, easy to install and use. The onky dienside at first was the shirt battery life; it had to be plugged in all the time. While plugged in the camera got quite hot. A few months later, the camera would blink, randomly shut off, or freeze and could not be powered off. Updates didn't help. Given the price and the positive online reviews, I was quite disappointed in the poor quality.

After buying many dash cams over the last few years ranging in price from $50 to $300, and being disappointed by image quality, build quality, app integration or appearance, I have finally found the one. This is the best picture quality, hands down, and there is a lot more to like about this unit. What i have realized is that not all 1080p or 1440 images are equal, this nextbase product far exceeds the other "HD" cameras i have used. The app works seamless, and Alexa is really cool and i just ordered some things off amazon i needed for home while driving. The installation process took 10 mins and i will be purchasing the hardwire kit accessory as well. This unit has emergency SOS that will alert emergency responders in the case of an accident if I am not able to reach the camera or my phone, i like that safety feature for my family. I highly recommend this product to all my family, friends and anyone looking to get a dash cam, and will buy another for my wifes vehicle. Note: buy a sd card along with the camera.

At first I was going to return this camera because I just couldn’t get it to link to my IPhone 6s Plus and I didn’t want to have to keep removing the memory card to download video. Coincidentally I was upgrading my phone anyway so I decided to wait to see if it was something with the age of the phone. Customer service said that it shouldn’t be an issue with the older phone and they emailed me step by step instructions on how to link my old phone to the camera. Even after trying it the way they instructed I still could not bring up the live view feature. I will say customer service seems to be very nice and helpful. Anyway I got my new iPhone 11 and it linked right up, live view works, Alexa app works and camera is great. I went to Best Buy and bought the hardwire kit and this thing is permanently mounted. So glad I waited to return. I haven’t really played around with stitching videos together through the computer program that you can download for free but I love having it there as a witness should one of these idiots on the road does something stupid. Just to summarize, if your iPhone is newer that a 6s I highly recommend this camera for documenting your driving.

The video looks great and it has good video at night as well. But the app for it is so so. Though I'll give it to them that the technology available is slightly lacking for something like this. To use the feature of downloading and connecting with my phone (main reason I got this camera) has to connect with wifi, but of course you'd be doing this from your car, so you'll be either in a parking lot or your driveway and most the wifi signal is not the best when outside the house or business. So connection and downloading is painfully slow and often disconnects even with a decent signal. You could bring the dashcam into your house to do it but that kinda defeats the purpose , I could just as easy take the card out and go in to download and browse my clips. Also just fyi the sos feature is only free for 1 year, after you must pay for it. It's kinda glitchy, sometimes it connects fine and sometimes you have to restart the camera 2 or 3 times for the sos to connect and you must have your wifi turned on(actual connection to a wifi source isnt required) and lastly a tip: when you want to download or browse clips on the app while sitting in the car(dashcam has to be on and connected to view of course) you should turn off parking mode. If it's on the dashcam will turn off while your on the app after a few minutes and will disconnect you mid download of clips. Also will turn off if your in stopped traffic or a very long light. There seems to be no setting to control how long before it goes into parking mode when stationary.

Easy to setup and use. It does take some screenshots on uneven roads or potholes but it’s just the matter of formatting the memory card every now and then which the camera can do. The quality is good and it was worth paying that little bit extra for a good dash cam.

Istallazione app, associazione con telefono, aggiornamento rirmwere 10 minuti. Lingua italiano perfetta sul dispositivo, l'app purtroppo no ma anche mio figlio di 8 anni sarebbe in grado di usarla. Fissaggio a parabrezza molto semplice e tiene conto delle diverse auto: se spostata da un lato (io vi consiglio il sinistro) anziche da un altro non cambia di molto. Arrivata con un giorno di anticipo. Signori, su questa roba bisogna spenderci, altrimenti... Francamente non comprendo perché la 522 viene venduta al doppio e l'unica differenza è il filtro di polarizzazione che costa 20 euro e il display da 3 pollici anziche 2.5, ma il display serve solo a posizionare correttamente la telecamera e navigare sul menù. Lasciate perdere la fuffa!

Je l'utilise tous les jours ! J'ai profité d'une promo qui regroupait la dashcam avec la cam arrière. Et bah figurez vous que la cam arrière est un MUST ! Je ne m'en passe plus ! Qualité au top, on arrive a distinguer les plaques des véhicules et s'installe en un rien de temps. Par contre il vous faudra 3 choses indispensables: - une batterie externe pour dashcam, sinon ça pompe sur votre batterie du véhicule et vous n'aurez plus de jus le lendemain pour démarrer. - un filtre polarisant qui se colle à votre lentille de la dashcam, ça évite que les reflets du soleil rende certaines régions de votre vidéo illisible à cause des éblouissements. - une carte MicroSD class3 car vous enregistrez sur deux flux en même temps (avant et arrière). Points négatifs : - la ventouse se décolle dès qu'il fait plus de 25°C dans la voiture, quand elle tombe pendant qu'on conduit, c'est lourd. - l'appli smartphone ne sert à rien, elle bug sans cesse et ne communique pas (voir très mal) avec la dashcam.

Excellent camera. Easy to configure with a good view of the world.
