I Have Heard The Newest And It Is Great!
If you no room for whatever reason (and there are several) you can't have speakers in your ceiling then you will be amazed what these two little speakers sitting on top of your floor speakers can accomplish when it comes to the new Dolby Atmos system. Transformers (the latest one) really comes alive just above and in front of your head with these babies. Rain falls...winds swirl...objects suddenly come into aural focus - like a helicopter landing right in front of your face. I'm really impressed. I have the Onkyo atmos receiver and these are paired with an Infinity (large) center speaker and JBL front and rear surround in a 5.1 set up and they still deliver sound like I can't believe. Wish I could go 7.2 but I don't have the space!!!!John Wick was great with the atmos effects. I don't understand how it all works because I'm not a techie by any stretch of the term, all I know is that it has improved my movie watching experience exponentially. I highly recommend both the Onkyo TX-NR636 receiver and these Onkyo SKH-410 Dolby Atmos Enabled speakers. They work by bouncing the sound off your existing ceiling and not even the ductwork stretching across the middle of the room kept them from performing their task. You don't know what you're missing and admittedly there are only a few movies that take advantage of it right now but more are coming soon ( I just got Hunger Games - Mockingjay Part One and it has it - Can't Wait To See It!!). It really opens up the sound experience and by doing that the overall Movie viewing moves much closer to the theater experience!!! You won't be disappointed.

Sounds great
I'm not an audiophile, but I am a snob when it comes to my video and audio quality (without over analyzing). I couldn't tell you what an ohm is or what X amps mean, but I know how to wire 7 HDMI devices to a receiver with 7.1.2 speakers and make it all work with Harmony and Alexa. I just want it to sound good and look good with the best noticeable quality I can afford.I recently upgraded my receiver (since the last one died) from a 7.1 to the aforementioned 7.1.2 (or 9.1) sound system. I already have a decent 7-speaker sound system with 2 subs so I just needed to purchase the ATMOS speakers. I did much research into "can an ATMOS be just any speaker pointing up", etc. I read so many opposing answers, I never really did discover the bottom line. When it came right down to it, I was between purchasing some used speakers that matched my current speaker model or these brand new Onkyo (my system is Onkyo). The used speakers were higher watts and slightly bigger - in the end, I went with these Onkyo ATMOS, perhaps falling into the "oh these are specifically made for ATMOS, they must be better" issue, but I'm not disappointed. They sound great for doing exactly what they're supposed to do...provide a sense of overhead sound. My main speakers are just mid-sized Onkyo and mounted to the wall at about ear level, pointed slightly down and inward, so they're not level so I'm not able to place these ATMOS speakers on top of the mains, as many suggest. I mounted these ATMOS speakers to the wall, above the main speakers (pointing up, obviously), about 15" below the (8') ceiling. After mounting and wiring them, I played a ATMOS bluray...and WOW, when "overhead" sounds occur, they really stand out distinctly (I listen to movies at a fairly high volume), nice and clear, no distortion (that I can tell). I have read that for a 5.1.4 system sounds better than a 7.1.2 system for ATMOS...Perhaps one day I'll purchase another set of these to test that theory. In the meantime, I'm enjoying how I have it (and honestly, there aren't all that many ATMOS movies or TV shows - except for the newest).Oh, last thing...I'm not trying to power a large room with my setup, my living room is around 9' wide and 12' deep, 8' ceiling so, for that size, these are great.

Cost effective and works well
I added 4 of these to my Dolby Atmos system with a Pioneer SC-87 a Polk Audio speakers. The sound matches pretty well with the Polks. I watched all Dolby Atmos demos (they are available on Vudu for free) and The Expendables 3. With my 8 foot ceilings, these speakers do a great job of bouncing the sound from the ceiling. Not quite as perfect as having actual ceiling speakers but convincing enough. These speakers are very compact and can be placed just about anywhere. I gave them 4 stars only because I think the price is a bit high. Other than that, they do the job. An excellent alternative to paying high dollar amounts for other brand name add-on Dolby Atmos speakers. My only advice is to definitely use your receiver's automatic calibration system. Makes a world of difference for getting a good Dolby Atmos "bubble". My Pioneer SC-87 picked up the distance to the speaker by the bounce distance and not the actual distance thus, calibrating it so the delay was correct. This calibration helped a great deal. It really sounds like there are speakers on the ceiling.

Small, Low cost, but perfect for my system.
For the size, the price and the sound, they are perfect for me. They sit atop my two front and two surround back speakers. These speakers support Dolby Atmos sound and location, you can hear the difference above , behind and to the sides of you. I recommend using the YouTube Dolby Atmos test videos to listen and set up your system or to hear what Dolby Atmos is. I have a basic 7.1.4 sound system plus 3 sub woofers with Polk Audio speakers. Again, these speaker are small, low cost and perfect for my system. You can buy better ones but they will cost you in the hundreds of dollars and the sounds won't be that much different. It's the movie and how the director wants to locate the sound, that's the key. I recommend these little well built upward firing speaker.

Que este producto es de muy buena calidad.
Me gustó porque mi cadena de sonido es Onkyo y para mi esta marca es sinónimo de calidad. Estoy satisfecho con el desempeño de las bocinas Dolby Atmos.

Awesome speakers for certain setups.
Easy Setup. After following some advice from reviews across the internet, I mounted these on the wall closer to the ceiling, just above my towers. . . WOW.From someone who has had the same Klipsch system powered by an Onkyo receiver, I was already listening to Atmos files in TrueHD without the actual speakers, and it sounded great. Now it's a whole other ball game, it sounds immersive AF. Also, forcing DTS movies to play the generic "Dolby Surround" uses the full 5.1.2. So all movies feel like they earned some height, which is an awesome asset considering I thought these would benefit Atmos movies only.

Full Dolby Atmos Experience with Onkyo's
FYI: I believe the Onkyo SKH-410(B) speakers have been discontinued. This Review is more about highlighting the benefits of Up-Firing Dolby Atmos Speakers based on my own experiences. My Denon 4K Home Cinema Receiver features 7.2 Channels. I really wanted my Home Cinema System to produce an improved immersive 3D Audio experience by using Up-Firing Dolby Atmos Enabled Speakers. My Base 7.2 Audio setup uses a Cambridge Audio SX-70 Centre speaker, 6x JBL Control One Speakers for the Front L+R / Front L+R Height 1 / Surround L+R and a Yamaha NS-SW200 Subwoofer. The JBL Control One speakers, although not really for serious Hi-Fi, are ideal Home Cinema speakers producing clear, sharp audio as well as delivering punchy Bass. This is quite impressive considering their relatively small size and price (On offer - £49 for a pair). To experience an improved immersive 3D Audio, I intended to exchange the JBL Front L+R Height 1 speakers with Dolby Atmos Enabled speakers, which would sit on top of the JBL Front L+R speakers. The issue here is that the Atmos Speakers needed to have a smaller footprint than the JBL speakers. Also, I didn’t want to spend a small fortune on Dolby Atmos speakers, just in case their performance enhancements were disappointing or non-existent. After some research, it was only a pair of Onkyo SKH-410(B)’s which met the required criteria. They had a smaller footprint than the JBL’s and just over £100 / pair. The Onkyo SKH-410(B) speakers are about half the size of my JBL Control 1’s (still capable of max 100W), whilst the top fabric speaker grills are not designed to be removed. These speakers may not look that special but the build quality / finish is pretty good, whilst featuring the all-important Certified Dolby Atmos, Special Network Internals. I replaced my JBL Front L+R Height 1 speakers with these Onkyo’s, which were placed on top of the JBL Front L+R speakers. Then it was a matter of updating the Denon’s speaker configuration to utilise the Onkyo speakers. I used the Audyssey Speaker-Room Calibration microphone, as well as measuring and setting the ceiling height above the Dolby speakers (setting option for Dolby Enabled speakers only). I read somewhere that Dolby Atmos Up-Firing speakers need to be positioned above ear level for best performance and these Onkyo’s need to have a minimum distance of 90 cm between them and the ceiling. My Home Cinema System is now 5.1.2 featuring Onkyo Front L+R Height 1 / Up-firing Dolby Atmos Speakers. All I can say is the immersive 3D Audio enhancements delivered by these little Onkyo speakers was a very worthwhile and impressive upgrade. I was so impressed that in March 2020, I decided to buy another pair of Onkyo SKH-410(B)’s.As previously stated, my Denon 4K Home Cinema Receiver features 7.2 Channels but processes 9.2 Channels. I decided to add a TIBO-PA150 Stereo Power Amp to my Denon system, which was plugged into the Denon Surround L+R Height 2 Pre-Outs. I could now add the 2nd pair of Onkyo Dolby Atmos speakers which were placed on top of the JBL Surround L+R speakers. Obviously, the Audyssey Speaker-Room Calibration needed to be updated. My Home Cinema System is now 5.1.4 and I have to say the immersive 3D Audio Experience is awesome.I have now viewed a few Dolby Atmos Movies on both 4K & Blu-Ray formats. “Blade Runner - The Final Cut” (4K), sounds impressive and immersive with its wealth of wonderful atmospheric sounds, music (by Vangelis) and noise complexities. For the Helicopter experience turn up the volume, fast forward 24 mins into Sicario (Blu-Ray), this is a real treat albeit short lived so deserves a replay or two. The Helicopter scenes towards the end of Mission Impossible: “Fallout” (Blu-Ray), certainly gives fabulous rotor sounds from above. If you want to be blown away with some amazingly intense audio excitement coming from everywhere then give “Jupiter Ascending” (Blu-Ray) a go. “Alita - Battle Angel” (4K) is another Movie that sounds great in Dolby Atmos, especially during the Motorball Challenges where the Commentary and Collisions really hit High places. The ultimate Helicopter attack scene in Francis Ford Coppola’s, “Apocalypse Now-Final Cut” (4K), sounds amazing, against the backdrop of Wagner’s, “Ride of the Valkyries”.These Onkyo Dolby Atmos Speakers can deliver unsophisticated immersive sound enhancements requiring the correct Sound Output settings to make the Onkyo’s work in a non-Dolby Atmos mode as well as being compatible with DTS:X Audio. There are a couple of Dolby Atmos 1080.mp4 Trailers (Leaf & Amaze), Downloadable from the Official Dolby website, which demonstrate the wonderful, immersive 3D experience Dolby Atmos Enabled Speakers provide. The Thunder Sounds featured in the “Amaze” Trailer are just Spectacular and the Best I have ever Heard on a Home Cinema System. Only Nature does it Better.I would say these speakers are fine in small rooms, like mine, but in Larger Rooms, with a speaker to ceiling height in excess of 330 cm may not achieve any noticeable or worthwhile Dolby Atmos Experience. That said, I am well pleased with these Onkyo Dolby Atmos Enabled speakers, representing an excellent upgrade to my Home Cinema System. Up-firing speaker technology may not be as good as Dolby Atmos speakers fitted in the ceiling but does offer an effective 3D immersive audio experience with minimal hassle. These Onkyo SKH-410(B)’s have improved the Audio experience from my Home Cinema and fully deserve my 5 Star Review.bjohnk

Excellente initiation !
