I saw a lot of negative reviews and saw that it was frequently returned, so I was hesitant to buy it. But it is exactly what I needed. It's sturdy and the perfect size. I am very happy with this purchase.

So many of the light stands and boom arms out there come with HORRID clamps that simply don't work at all - they slip on the boom arm, they slip on the light stand, they wiggle, they're not stable or reliable.This style of clamp is what SHOULD come with every boom arm / light stand combo. Don't mess around with the other garbage. Get this and be happy!

Using for mic boom arm. Maybe other things in the future.One of the lightest mounting mechanisms I have. Not that that really matters as It will be sitting on a light stand or mic stand. May need sand bag for balancing pole. Grip when tightened not as good as expected.

Plastic

When i bought this, i had no idea how much stress would be put on it. I know own a few heavy duty stands and laugh at the fact that this thing even exists! The all plastic construction just begs for your premium equipment to be mounted to it can drop it. Its lightweight but not very trustworthy and I wouldnt trust more than a feather to be extended from a boom arm mounted to this.

Here's a product made to attach grips and booms that does not comply with any of the market standard sizes (5/8, Baby, Junior… pins). It probably works with a specific and cheap product from the same brand, with the same strong plastic smell. Totally useless.
