I purchased Alex's book to prepare for a Career Services Event I was hosting for CFA Society of Orlando. In particular, I was particularly focused on the Job Cycle. At first, I thought the book was for young professionals. I quickly realized this book and the process he outlines can be applied to anyone at any level, from entry level to C Suite. Alex's real world experience running an international business unit shines through while reading the book. Alex gave a speech to our member at CFA Orlando (an investment organization) that really hit home for many of our members. Whether it is managing money (my profession) or searching for a job, to me it is all about process and this book will give you the playbook for executing. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to break into the workforce, move up in their existing company or move out to bigger and better things outside of their current employment.

I originally bought this book only because it was a required textbook for my GEB course. This textbook holds so much valuable information about finding and seeking out jobs that it is quite possibly the best textbook purchase of my college career. The layout is super easy and enjoyable to read. I am very impressed by this book and have recommended it to all of my friends that have had trouble finding a job.

I think this is a great book. I have had to use this for my required classes at UCF and while I'm usually more than happy to get rid of my textbooks once my classes are over, this is one book I'll gladly keep. I found this book to be extremely useful and educational for college students. I only wish I knew about it sooner. I think it very neatly organizes each topic and talks you through dealing with situations you might not be comfortable in at first. I think everyone should read this book and I'm sure this will help a lot of people in getting their dream jobs!

Fantastic guide for job-seekers. Alex describes, from personal experience, the recruiting process perfectly and offers plenty of insight into a recruiter's mind and how to win the selection process. If you follow the guidance of Alex, you will achieve much success in your career search, both during the interviewing process and well beyond.

This book is PACKED full of incredible information about how to get a job, AND how to ensure you get promoted. I was able to successfully target and employer, position myself as a top candidate and negotiate salary on my terms. Everything is easy to read and easy to follow. I highly recommend to anyone looking for new job opportunities.

I found this book very enlightening towards the entire process of finding and succeeding in a job. His advice is very true to life based on my experiences looking for employment. If you want to successfully navigate the process of finding a great job, this book is for you. I highly recommend whether you have a job or if you are on the job hunt currently. This author truly wants to see people be successful in their careers.

Originally, I was required to buy this book for my GEB course. Worth my time and money. I highly recommend this book because, it has helped my career in terms of how to nail my interview, negotiating tips for salary/promotion, keys communications skills required, how to deal with problems in a work environment, importance of making informed decisions, being creative in your work, most importantly top ten attitudes for success, and much more. Outstanding and phenomenal information provided to differentiate yourself and become a successful business professional in the business world.

As a student myself I have been able to read and apply the steps in this book for personal career success. I learned of the book through a class at UCF just in time for an interview I had coming up. It was very clear that I had to prepare more in hope of successfully landing the job. I can say that I have succeeded in my endeavor and will soon be employed with iHeartMedia. I will continue to read the book for further instructions in how to become the successful new employee.

Just the advice the new generation need to get a good job. Although my experience has been you even have to encourage them to read it, they don't see the necessity always.

This is a really key area for anyone starting out or in the first few stages of their career .It is an absolute must read for anyone who wants to find the right job ( not just any job ) and or who wishes to progress their career .I started out as an apprentice and progressed to develop my own technology business with over 500 staff .I have been on the hiring side of the desk many times and fully agree with the approaches described both to make it to the interview stage and then most importantly how to stand out to make sure the organisation really wants to hire you .I wish I had been able to read this book when starting out .A MUST READ if you want to take your career seriously ...

I highly recommend!This book provides an excellent structure for anyone to follow to help them get started on their career. Easy to read and excellent new information and guidance. The statistics in Chapter One are astonishing! I bought it for my son who has just been made an offer. The chapter on how to start a job in the best way and the right relationship to build with the boss will no doubt be very useful to him.

An excellent analysis of how to get a job for young people. My 21 year old son is at university and needs to know everything that this book has to offer, particularly about internships, which is part of his career planning. The section on social media was also critically important to him. An outstanding book
