Is this strong enough to hold a screw? ie, could you screw something into this, and expect it not to strip the hole or fall out? Thank you very much!

Once it is set, ie hardens, yes it will hold a screw without stripping but not sure you would be able to remove the screw. I suppose if the screw was put before it hardened it is possible that the screw could be removed after but not sure. Once the material sets it is very solid.

Does it dry clear and can you color it?

This product dries white opaque. I have seen color pellets you can add to similar products (polymold), but I'm not sure if InstaMorph makes a line of coloring pellets to add in or not. If I melt too much and end up with some leftover, can you save it for later and melt again when needed?

Yes, you can melt it over and over - by itself or with new beads added to it.

Is there any way to get it to harden clear? If not do you know of a similar mold-able plastic product that DOES harden clear?

The chemical compound in InstaMorph is also the same in something called Worbla. InstaMorph comes in little pellets and Worbla comes in sheets. The Worbla website mentions a new product which comes in sheets and finishes clear. Seehttp://www.worbla.com/?page_id=4013However, you have to heat it past the boiling point of water so be careful!
