Working good so far. No complaints.
Working as expected. So far no issues, although I haven't put it through a battery of tests, just basic playing and ripping. Haven't tried burning yet and probably won't for a while.

Great drive supports Libredrive firmware for MakeMKV!
Great drive for ripping and backing up or media server your movies with. Supports Libredrive firmware for MakeMKV so you can region-free rip at full speed. Doesn't work with 100% of movie discs, but I would say a good 99% of them. Also supports M-Disc record-able blu ray discs, I haven't used that function just due to how much the discs cost, but it also burns CD and DVDs well.

ASUS successfully burned 25GB and 100GB, M-archival discs on Windows 10, 64 bit desktop computer
ASUS Blu Ray burner works on the following: Windows 10, 64 bit....Power2Go software (by Cyberlink) is the software included with the burner. Successfully burned a 25GB and 100GB Verbatim M-archival disc. The Power2Go software is standalone and does not need internet connection. The S/W is easy to use. 25GB M-disc took about 30 min to burn and the 100 GB M-disc took about 1.5 hours.

Bought to burn hdd backups to blue-ray as it holds more.
I have been backing up our computers to DVD and external drives. That takes a lot of DVD disks. I am moving all those backups from DVD to Blue-ray to save space. I also save photos and downloads for computer to them. It is so nice to be able to put 25gb. on one disc instead of just 4.25gb. Happy days. This is a lovely drive and also have an Asus DVD burner that we've had for many years. If burning blue-ray in Nero you need to connect to the internet to be able to burn to them. A small price to pay for more room. We don't trust the cloud, we are old fashioned.

Nice drive.
If you are buying to use as a Blu-ray player I recommend PowerDVD 19 ultimate. I tried cheaper ones and they work for some movies and not others. So far all my movies work with PowerDVD 19 ultimate. It is a bit more expensive, but worth it if you want no hassle Blu-ray movie playback. If your having issues with the firmware update that came with the setup disc, then just go to the ASUS website and update it from there.

Good for 2010 Dell tower/Windows 7 and Windows 10
Quiet and relatively quick. About 12 minutes to burn 22GB. Routine installation of burner and software. Burning backup disks of photos and videos went smoothly. The software leaves an ugly "gadget" on the desktop that I'll probably learn to ignore in a couple days. Otherwise the software functions as required to burn bluray disks. My tower is a Dell XPS 8300 with covers over the front of the burners. You push a button off to the side and the tray opens the cover from the inside. The Asus BW-16D1HT fit right in and functions as if it was factory installed. Very low processor/memory usage. I am still using Windows 7 so I cannot comment on Windows 10 compatibility.Update June 2016: After upgrade to Windows 10 I can report that the burner works as expected under Windows 10 as well. Has not burned a coaster CD/DVD/BR disc yet. Have not yet tried an M-Disc.
