Really great fire pit that I highly recommend. My husband and I were going to buy a different one at Home Depot , but decided to check Amazon. I’m so glad we purchased this one! It’s solid, easy to assemble and we’ve received many compliments on it already. I may need to purchase a cover so it lasts longer as we get harsh winters where I live. This product looks a lot more expensive than it was!

We researched quite a few fireplaces and selected this model based on its design and other reviews. The box arrived in good shape and my husband commenced to assembling it. The assembly took twice as long as noted in the instructions mainly because one needs to read the instructions BEFORE assembling the thing, and some of the drill holes and pieces didn't quite fit together easily. The unit is more lightweight than we expected. It looks great on our patio, and I think it will be a great fireplace for late spring and summer fires. It's late Fall here in Illinois now, and honestly the fires are not that warm. We will continue to experiment with different wood-types. So far, pinion wood burning in this fireplace smells wonderful. Overall, we're pleased to have the fireplace. I did order a cover to protect the unit when it's not in use.

Really like this. Easy to assemble, works well, and looks good. It’s still going strong after 2 years. I do keep it covered when not in use so there is zero rust on my unit. I put mine up on stone blocks and added a fireplace grate for extra airflow.

The main piece that holds the doors had the bolt holes drilled in the top instead of the bottom where they belong. I did not discover this until after I had it together and the doors would not close. I had to pull this piece off and drill new holes in the correct area. If you do not own tools to do this, you would be forced to wait on new parts or send it back. Besides this major issue, we really like the fire place a lot!

We've had the Landmann Redford firepit for 9 months. Had to put a coat of rustoleum on it already as it was wearing a bit where water pooled on top under the cover during winter. But we love it. Wasn't too difficult putting together. The bottom tray is removable for easier cleaning. With the full grate, chimney and four legs it is safer and sturdier than the tripod open-tops; we have large dogs, one who drops his ball in everything, so these features were important to us. Have spent many enjoyable evenings in front of it. It's easy to move to the side of the patio when not in use.

Purchased for my mom's birthday and it is so cute. She put it on their deck with large paver stones under it. It is like a little fire place. It has a good size area for burning logs, sticks and leaves and the heat and sparks seems to mostly come out the top, like a chimnea but it does radiate heat on all sides. Very cute. I wish I had gotten one like this for our family.

Purchased for my husband for Father's Day. It is a nice looking fireplace but unfortunately after just 3 months and 3 uses it is rusting in several areas. I had hoped it was under warranty or returnable so I contacted the seller and was told there is no warranty and since it was beyond 30 days it was not returnable. Bummer! Hate throwing money away. If you do decide to purchase this item, definitely get a cover for it and consider sealing it if you can find some for high heat surfaces. I will try repainting it with black grill paint and see if it holds up a little longer.

I was looking for a patio fireplace/chimenea with a little bit bigger firebox and enough chimney to minimize smoke inhalation when used on a breezy day, for not an arm and a leg. This unit was the closest to my ideal specs that I could find. Assembly was quite easy and the fit and finish are decent. I made some modifications to bring it closer to what I had wanted - adding steel legs to raise it up off the ground, a 2.5 foot sheet metal chimney extension, welding a real cast iron firegrate into the bottom pan - which took me a few hours and work quite well. My only remaining complaint is that the open sides of the firebox are a little too tall, allowing some smoke to escape instead of being funnelled up the chimney under certain conditions. A little more sheet metal work will fix that. Now if the Landman folks can incorporate those changes into a stock unit, I'll give the next one 5 stars when I replace this one in a few years.
