FRAGRANCE FREE AND HYPOALLERGENIC. Perfect dogs with skin and sensitivity issues
I thought the yellow color bottle of same ingredients that states hypoallergenic was safe for my 7yr old Havanese with seborrhea secondary to contact dermatitis. Nope. This one is great! No fragrance and calmed her skin. Aveeno products calm sensitive can be used for canines. I use serum periorbital. Her hair and skin are soft and she's comfortable now that skin barrier being repaired.

Great shampoo, works!
Love that it doesn’t have a smell. We always try to avoid fragrance if we can because we are weirdos that think that matters. As for our dog, this didn’t change her ambivalence for baths, but she was nice and soft. Overall, it a good shampoo that does its job. Get it!

Great product if you can bathe your cat!
I took my 6 year old cat to the vets for a checkup. She noticed his "dandruff" (dander) and asked if that's an issue. I replied that he always has dandruff. Sweet vet innocently asked, "How often to you bathe him?" Knowing what was coming I asked, "Like with shampoo and water in the tub?" That's exactly what she meant. I admitted, "Never!" Sweet vet said, "You should bathe him at least twice a year. Use an oatmeal shampoo for cats." She doesn't know that I have to put a winter coat on (to prevent serious injury) just to get him in the cat carrier! So, I purchased Earthbath Oatmeal and Aloe Pet Shampoo. It arrived today. No time like the present, I thought. But I started with 7 year old Mittens. He's sweet and calm and it went well -- even if he wasn't particularly happy about it. Miles heard the commotion and went into hiding. Eventually, he came out and I brought him into the bathroom/torture chamber -- not knowing if I would be making a trip to Urgent Care when I was finished. Miles was stressed. Miles escaped from the tub several times. Miles dug his freshly trimmed nails into my forearm. Miles made a pitiful cry. Miles was breathing hard. We finished. Stitches aren't required -- a Band-Aid will do. I fear Miles' trust in me has been completely eroded, however.Update 3 hours later: Mittens' fur truly is very soft. He's my over-groomer. Another reviewer mentioned it helped her overgrooming cat so I'm hopeful it will help Mittens. Miles has forgiven me -- sort of. He's let me brush him a little, but I need to do it more. (He's never liked getting brushed.) I'm hoping I rinsed all the shampoo out as his fur isn't as soft as Mittens' fur. [did the best I could with a bleeding arm and a stressed out kitty] So far no sign of dandruff. I purchased the product without scent due to the sensitive nature of my cats' skin and my nose. Thankfully, the vet said we only have to do this twice a year!update: 3 weeks after shampooing my cats, Miles has no dander! I've never seen him without his dandruff. It hasn't helped Mittens' overgrooming, however.

Very Soothing, Excellent Shampoo!
My dog suffered from seasonal allergies with itchy skin. He scratched and chewed constantly, sometimes most of the night, with no relief. Furst Aid pet shampoo (also excellent and sold on Amazon) helped a previous dog with this problem, but not my current one. This oatmeal shampoo was instantly soothing on his skin. I could see in his eyes and relaxed body how much massaging this into this skin soothed and comforted him. It was the first time he ever enjoyed a shampoo! I highly recommend this shampoo. To treat itchy skin the American Kennel Club website recommends an oatmeal bath to soothe and moisturize the skin. For itching caused by bacteria and fungus, they recommend spraying the itchy areas with 50/50 mix of Apple Cider Vinegar and water. The vinegar kills bacteria and fungi. But don't spray open wounds because this will make them burn. I didn't know what was causing his itch and tried this. The spray instantly relieved his itching. I had to respray multiple times the first day. He would rest peacefully for a few hours, then resume constant chewing and scratching. He struggled to get away during the first spray, but welcomed the later sprays. The shampoo arrived on day three. After the bath he was basically healed. We live in a very humid climate. During the summer the fur by his lips turns dark brown and purple. I always suspected this was due to fungus because daily washing of the mouth did nothing to remove this. When his belly and arm pits itched from seasonal allergies, he chewed them and transferred the fungus to these areas which turned varying shades of brown and purple. Using a cotton ball I dabbed the vinegar mix on the fur around his lips. The lip fur is almost back to white. He now lives in peace throughout the day and night! I hope this helps anyone with a similar problem.

Gentle shampoo
I bought this for my senior pup. It worked well. I had to bath him regularly because he would wet himself in his crate. It didn’t irritate his skin, and left his coat soft.

Nice
My dog smells clean, not like perfume, after his bath. It lathers nicely.

Great for sensitive skin
We first received a trial sample of this from our holistic vet. Actually scored a couple of samples. We noticed how nice our furkids fur felt and how much her skin improved. She wasn't itching and having red spots come up after her baths either. So we decided to order a bottle as for some reason the customers didn't care for it not having a strong scent is why I imagine. But it was great for our girl. We are very pleased with this product and will continue to order as needed.
