great seller, decent safe
The safe is pretty large and heavy duty and feels secure. The digital combination codes are simple to set up. The only negative I observed was the combination dial and the face plate that covers over the keyholes, this really is just flimsy feeling plastic and the dial feels like it could be snapped off by hand if one wanted to but I don't think the safe could be accessed even if that part were broken. Honeywell should have made these parts metal which would provided a much greater sense of security and quality. The seller: stores123 were great, they matched and gave me a lower price and also shipped it very quickly and it was packaged in such a manner that no damage occurred during delivery. 5 stars for stores123, 4 stars for the safe itself so I rounded it up to 5 stars.

Great Safe - Amazing Customer Service
I purchased this safe on the recommendation of a friend who had purchased one a year or so ago. Easy to use, feels very durable. When I opened it though, one of my shelves that was spot-welded to the inside had detached on one side in transit. I called the company, worried that it was going to be a huge hassle to get fixed or replaced. I was totally wrong. Customer service was awesome and the sent me a new one out right away. I didn't get the sense that this type of thing happens often, but was very pleased with how customer service handled it. I'd totally purchase more in the future.

Do Not Buy, It’s Useless as a Safe and Annoying!
I bought this safe in November of 2018. At first it was great. It fit our space and worked well. But now it’s October of 2019 and this thing has become useless. When I attempt to dial in the security code, so it can be opened, the numbers just randomly jump about and it’s only luck and a lot of patience that ever allows me to open the darn thing. It took me 30 minutes to open it yesterday. This has been an increasing problem for weeks. If the locking mechanism is prone to failure and becomes useless in less than a year, it’s a bad product. DO NOT BUY THIS AWFUL, USELESS, NO GOOD HUNK OF JUNK. You’ll need to replace it in less than a year and you’ll be left disposing of this large heavy hunk of useless metal.UPDATE: the distributor worked with me to replace the safe. It took some doing, but I appreciate the service. I’m still disappointed and de-installing and re-installing took time and effort. I hope the replacement works better then the previous one. I’ll update as time goes on.

Update 2: Second safe fails the same way as the first one
Update #2: Well, the replacement safe lasted about as long as the first one before it started having EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM. The digital mechanism in this safe is fundamentally flawed - after some amount of use the numbers just start jumping randomly when you turn the dial (and yes, I changed the battery). Clearly there's a design flaw, as other reviewers have complained about the same thing.I'm not going to request another one, as I don't want to go through the hassle. We're just ignoring the digital dial now and using both keys.--------------------------------Update: I sent mail to LHLP Customer service explaining my problem, and they sent me a new safe - no questions asked! Updated to 4 stars. I can't give it 5, as the electronic mechanism still doesn't work as well as it should. There's no reason why the digital display update can't be as smooth as a mechanical dial, yet this one isn't, which makes opening it take longer than it should. Other than that, a very nice safe!---- Original review (2 stars) ---I’ve had this safe for 3 years, and it worked ok for that time, but now the digital combination dial is unusable. It was always a little cumbersome, but now the numbers just jump randomly when you turn it. It has become the world’s most annoying video game to try and open it. In fact, now we just use the keys and ignore the dial. I see other reviews where people have the same problem. I tried replacing the batteries, but that didn’t make any difference.

A strong and roomy safe
Unlike what another reviewer has said, I don't think that this safe can be easily broken into. It is constructed of thick steel with rolled edges and the door is VERY thick with two large locking bolts. IMO it would take a cutting torch or a LOT of work with a die cutter to get into it, IMO a pry bar will NOT do it. It is VERY roomy inside and holds a LOT of valuables. The only problem that I have with the design is with the digital combination lock. Why even have it since you still have to use a key to open it (and if you misplace the key you are not going to get into the safe), and since it uses a second key-type lock for a fail-safe way to open it if the batteries go dead (or the digital lock malfunctions), an experienced lock pick can still get inside, regardless of the digital lock. I would have much preferred that the manufacturer employed one HIGH security key-type lock and dispensed with the digital lock entirely. I took off one star for this. If you want to keep the safe from being stolen you will need to bolt it down solidly to the floor, it is a waste of time to bolt it to the wall with drywall anchors.

Will keep most threats out.
I wanted a safe sturdy enough to keep apartments maintenance workers out, party guests out, and common burglars out. A professional could probable get in but someone that good would rob a rich house not an apartment. I am thinking about getting another one. Also I like it since it was light enough to get up the apartment stairs by just me.The biggest threat to a safe like this is for someone(s) to haul it away and defeat it somewhere else. It is nice and big with enough room that I have 4 x 25 pound weights in it. To steal it, the burgler would have to carry off more than 160 pounds of weight in a large bulky configuration. If someone still manages to get my stuff, they would have earned it.Beware. It eats batteries. Maybe 4 every 4 to 8 weeks. Maybe this should be a 4 star.UPDATE 06/20/2019: It only eats batteries quickly when you do the combination and open the safe. The standby power drain is much smaller. When I complained about battery usage I was going in the safe maybe 4 to 6 times per week. The past few months I may go in the safe once every 2 weeks and the batteries last a lot longer.

Fault Safe
The first time I tried to open the safe the override lock came out of the safe making it useless. It is lucky I had not put anything in the safe or it would have been locked in there permanently. Sending it back and not purchasing Honeywell safes again.
