It's a nice little router with 2.4 and 5 ghz wifi had guest account capability. I have it as a router behind a router. My main router is wired only and this adds both wired and wireless capability to my network. Setting this up was straightforward. Instructions can be found on the internet. I have been using it now for months and noted that I have very few wifi drop outs. My old wifi router was losing connection with a fairly consistent frequency.

I needed to set up a wireless bridge to some older devices that don’t have WiFi. Linksys is perfect for that because their routers have that option, unlike some competitors 🙄 And as it is tough to find a brick and mortar store that sells Linksys, so Amazon to the rescue! Got exactly what I needed. Works great, setup was simple and quick.

As the headline, it is a good Linksys router, easy to configure. Like that the 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz bands have different names (even though you can change it of course). Easier this way to setup fast devices, with only 2.4 Ghz ones like smart plugs and WIFI garage doors. The 5 Ghz signal range is very short. You need to be close to the equipment to use it. If you are rooms away it becomes very poor and you would need to rely on the 2.4 Ghz one. But if you need a cheap reliable router then it is OK overall.

No more Xfinity kickouts when you go idle for 5 seconds! This Linksys router solved all our household Wi-fi internet connection issues. Xfinity's wifi modem kicks you off if you go idle for even a few seconds (to save them millions in costs) and this device eliminated that problem. Strong, solid signal. All bars are showing anywhere in and around the house within the modem stated range in square feet. It doesn't matter if you're in the first or second floor, the basement, or outside the house. Great deal for the money! The only negative I can say is that it took a 5 or 10 minutes to set up, because it took a minute for everything to update where I could access the router page on the internet to finalize the settings. But I think that's generally true of all Wi-Fi routers.

I ordered this router to replace a ten year old router (yes that's right, ten years old!). I needed a router for an apartment with only three devices at most, and for Internet surfing, video streaming, and light gaming. After using it for a few days, this router has been chugging away just fine so far. The setup is/was super easy and convenient. After you plug in the router and go to the router setup portal, you're greeted with a nice setup wizard that takes you through the very important steps of changing your router password and applying a wireless (SSID) password. After that, you can tweak some of the other settings on the portal (e.g. broadcast channel, port forwarding, etc.). It's very standard, but very easy. I haven't thoroughly vetted the wireless connection strength, since the router is only being used in an apartment unit and not a large house. It's been strong so far. Overall, I'm happy with it so far. It's easy to use and configure, and had all the features I really needed without having a giant form factor.

I bought this thing and hooked it up and went through setup no problem. I pay for 250 down internet speeds, but typically will get 300+ when I run a speed test or actually download something. Before using this I would directly connect my modem to PC via ethernet cable. My setup post obtaining this router was modem -> ethernet cable to router -> and another ethernet cable from router to my PC. When I did this I found it strange that I was only getting 100 mb download speeds as opposed to the 300 I was getting before. Now I swear the amazon listing was clearly advertised "1.2Gb Down!!! 1.2 Gb speeds!" (for the unitiated this would be 1200 mb down so I should have been more that covered) , so I thought Hmmm thats a bit strange. So I do a bit of research and I find on Linksys website that the ethernet ports on this model are limited to 100 down /10 up. Well thats really annoying as I had planned on keeping my PC still hard wired but I guess thats what I deserve for not fully researching this (although this is not mentioned ANYWHERE in the amazon listing) . But at least this means the wifi will still be capable of the advertised 1.2Gb speeds right??? The amazon page was pretty clear about that!! I'll just use the wifi! So I disconnected my PC from ethernet and hopped on the wifi. Still the same speed test results, both on 2.5Ghz and 5Ghz wifi, just getting 100 down and 10 up. Well what gives?? That's when it dawned on me.... ALL OF THE ETHERNET PORTS ON THIS THING ARE LIMITED TO 100 DOWN 10 UP. INCLUDING THE INCOMING ONE FROM MY MODEM TO THE ROUTER ITSELF!!! SO THAT 100 DOWN/10 UP IS THE MAX INCOMING SPEED THIS THING CAN TAKE FROM MY MODEM TO THE ROUTER. This router is "CAPABLE" of broadcasting a wifi signal of up to 1.2Gb down BUT IT HAS NO WAY TO RECIEVE A 1.2Gb CONNECTION TO BEGIN WITH !!! THE ADVERTISING ON THIS THING IS A RIP OFF!! NOWHERE ON THE AMAZON PAGE DOES IT MENTION THAT ALL THE ETHERNET PORTS ARE CAPPED AT 100 DOWN!!! DO NOT BUY THIS AND EXPECT IT TO BROADCAST OVER 100MB EVEN IF THATS WHAT YOU GET FROM YOUR MODEM!!!

I am so glad my children talked me into purchasing this additional Wi-Fi for our house. I plugged it into the router and it gave us an additional Wi-Fi code to log into so now we have two sets of Wi-Fi's to log into. I just know I'm saying that wrong! But now I don't have to yell at the kids for using up all the data because they can log on to that one and me and my husband can log on to the one that we have to purchase every month. It works like a dream and I'm so glad that we invested in this purchase.

If you just need this to reach maybe up to 60 feet reliably, you're golden here. In my case, only really wanting this to hit my iPad next to my console that I use as a remote for a few features, it's perfect. Small, takes up next to no space in my doghouse, and as long as you're in range the signal is pretty steady. I have yet to have dropouts after 2 years.

Muy bueno, la señal es muy estable y permite dos señales, se puede configurar para que se conecten por IP o dirección MAC.

Sencillo de configurar; buen alcance, compacto... muy muy recomendable.

Fácil de configurar y ofrece las 2 frecuencias de wi-fi, lo malo es que la red 5g solo ofrece a lo más 90mbps. De repente se desconectan mis equipos de la red.
