ARIAT Men's Workhog Waterproof Composite Toe Work Boot

I've just ordered my 4th pair of these in 5 years. I'm a technical instructor for a mining and construction equipment company and I'm on my feet 8 hours a day minimum. I keep my new pair for the office and classroom and retire the old pair to use for the training workshop and out in the field. The composite toe makes a big difference in how cold my feet would get in the field during the winter and the boot is lighter compared to steel toes. They look sharp and professional in an office and provide durability in the field. I never thought I would be a fan of a slip on boot over a lace up but the fit is snug and supportive, far moreso than I expected. I can't speak to the waterproofing complaints that others have shared here but I generally wear muck boots if I'm in terribly wet conditions. My biggest adjustment to these was finding good socks that stay up past the calves to avoid the top of the boot rubbing against the skin on my legs. I'm a huge fan of these and will continue to buy this particular boot as long as this style isn't discontinued.

Took about 3 days for the boots to get broken in..I love the boots, but the inserts are poor. Buy a good pair of inserts if you are on your feet a lot

Used Amazon wardrobe to try on 5 different boots. These fit, and felt the best. I ordered a half size smaller than sneakers and they fit perfect. As expected with these types of boots, they are hard at first and must be worn to break in to your foot. They are great all around boots.

I got these boots for my husband, he’s a pipefitter and abuses the crap out of boots. We were replacing his Justin brand boots, he had to put his redwing inserts in his Justin boots because they weren’t that comfy. I’ve always worn Ariat Fat Baby boots so I suggested he get some Ariat boots. He absolutely loves them! He says they are extremely comfy and don’t make his feet hurt at all. He says there was barely a breaking in period (which is the same for me with Fat Babys) and he doesn’t feel the need to have extra inserts with them. He even wears them when we go out! Which is saying something because he wears skate shoes like DVS. Anyways these boots are amazing!

Even buying the wide width like my husband normally wears this boot tan half an inch narrower and inch shorter than the exact same boot in the same size from last year. We did contact the manufacturer and they said they had changed a few designs on a few of their boots. My husband could not even get his foot down past the ankle. Perhaps we had a mistakes size. Amazon took them back without any issues. The boots themselves were made great. They just didn’t work for us.

I wore my ariat workhogs to work right out of the box no break in time. I'm a commercial/ industrial electrician and continually walking,climbing, using ladders, lifts and such so I put them thru the test before reviewing. Been wearing them 2 weeks now and just seem to be getting better. Good choice

These boots are nice but I had to order them a 1/2 size larger so my husband could get them on his foot & then they were a 1/2 size too large on his foot & flop a bit. So they have a narrow shaft.

Horrible! After going in circles with ariat customer service I had to guess and try two different sizes. The first was my regular shoe size and that was horribly large. Next I tried a size smaller after reading reviews... that was amazing... that it could be so horribly tight and still have my heel rubbing raw at the same time. Ariat support is a horrible Joke. I gave them exact measurements of my foot and asked for a recommendation. Their reply was "get your foot measured" , i informed them of the boot style I was interested in... their reply " what style of boot do you want?" Lastly I inform them that no local vendor I can find has this style boot....they reply " we'll search for a local vendor but there probably won't be one with this boot" that is two different levels of ariat "support"....A JOKE!

Fit just like any of my other boots nice boots vary comfortable

Composite toe is very strong. Boots are comfortable from store. Although I would suggest buying the ariat gel insoles they definitely made it better. The leather is a little week I got my boot with the pressure washer and it left a mark. Other then that they’re perfect

Good boots

Very comfortable and made well. Great traction in snow and ice and the quality of materials used seem top notch. Great value for the money.
