Woodsman's favorite
I do land surveying for a profession and camp frequently as a hobby. I keep one of these in my work and personal truck. People with all the bad reviews that the blade gets notched out or bends are just abusing the hell out of them. No, it wont chop down a cedar tree or a T-post. Chain link fences will put a divot. It's not a shovel. Like, duh! ... But it will chop through a pesky vine maple branch and continue into your leather boot (I would know). Just take care of it like any other tool and you'll have a great machete.22" is the sweet spot for size, its not too heavy to swing but you still get some length for reaching what you want to cut without wearing down your wrist. My only knock on the product is the rubber handle is the first thing to wear out. But even still that's with me using it frequently and I get a year out of the rubber. After that, hockey tape it and go, so still 5 stars. Red handle easy to see should you lay it in the brush somewhere. Sharpen it when you get it and maybe every 5-8 uses after that. Buy a leather sheath to go with it. Like the 22" SitePro brand ones. It's worth it. Good luck all. Cheers!

Nice grip but that's it
This machete is, in the words of Beaver Cleaver's friend Larry Mondello, "A BIG HUNK OF JUNK!"I was initially impressed by how sharp it was right out of the packaging. I also liked the ergonomic grip which is something a little hard to find with machetes. It also chopped a couple saplings and branches with ease. However, 5 minutes into my using it when I struck a 1-1.5" diameter holly tree for the second or third time, the blade became badly warped and damaged. I couldn't even sharpen it with my mill file because of the way it was bent and chipped. This product is definitely not meant for any work in the woods. It could possibly be useful for household or backyard use, maybe in the hands of an elderly woman who wants to clean up her flower bed. It cuts 0.25" saplings fine but is too light and/or cheap to be of much use elsewhere. Disappointing...

One step from perfect
Overall its an ok tool. Metals good, but one issue. The way these are set into the handle, they put a hard plastic shell over the tang and slip it in. The problem, is its not exactly a tight fit. You can hear a snapping sound coming from the bottom of the grip when you tilt left to right. The plastic or the tang keeps tapping the walls and it can be an annoyance when you're screwing around with it. It also twists a lil' bit, but not much to worry about it.Solution would be ripping out those studs holding it together and using bolts...Outside of that, its great, although a bit too big for some situations.

Be careful
This is perfect for cutting tall grass. Be careful as it will cut not just the grass but also your soaky hose....

Not a case of you get what you pay for…….
It chipped in 3 different places on first use. I used it to clear 15-20ft tall mature bamboo. it should have performed better. I have a Gavilan cane hook machete that takes the same abuse and doesn’t have any chips. I clear this same area after every winter to make way for new growth and the gavilan is normally what I use. In short I am disappointed with the corona.
