UnderCover RSIH1212GS Standard Pneumatic Strut

Struts were dropped into shipping box with no packing material whatsoever. The box was MUCH BIGGER than the contents with allowed the struts to bounce around whenever moved. I'm not impressed AT ALL! I'll install them and verify they are functional and not damaged, and will then add an update. The photo you see is exactly as I saw it when opened.3/29/15 - upgraded to 4 starInstalled these today. Fit and function was perfect. The only problem was no packing material as described above. I had sent a message to Amazon when I made my original post and I just checked my email again - there was never a response... :(

Works great. Some people questioned the plastic latch. However, it still has the steel latch the plastic part is just a built in wedge so you can release the steel latch without tools. Just flip the plastic wedge and it releases the steel latch. Way better design than the older ones. Also the new model has 45PSI when the old one even new was only 40 PSI so it pushes the cover up for you.

Great replacement for our truck cover struts. I bought a set that was not from Under Cover and they didn't have the easy to take off connectors. We do take our cover off sometimes to use the truck as a truck. I sent those back and bought these. Was hoping for a heavier duty version since we didn't use it much and it wore out, but guess this is what they have.

There is nothing like the real thing. I considered purchasing off brand replacements but I am SO glad that I didn't. These went on so easily and have been performing great. I will buy again and again.

The improvements made to attaching/detaching these struts is fantastic. Significantly easier than the original struts on my 14+ year old UnderCover. I look forward to these standing up to the rigors of use for just as long.

Replaced both of my undercover struts as they were failing. Easy install took less than 2 minutes. Tonneau lifts itself again.

I have an older Undercover purchased in 2004. The original struts were leaking and failed. These were perfect replacements.

Super easy replacement for my broken strut. Install took 1 minute. I like it better than the original design. Would recommend to anyone. Paid about half of a local parts place.
