Does this hat have a lining in the inside to make it soft? I got my nephew one unknowingly without and it's uncomfortable for him...

For the most part everything in the inside is soft not rough, other than maybe the seams. I can't think of any parts that were uncomfortable to my son. It's just not super warm so I wouldn't use it primarily as a winter hat.
