BISSELL 8/14 PRE MOTOR FILTER

Advertised as an replacement part for my vacuum when searched yet the item I received does not fit my vacuum and doesn’t even look like item in sellers photo. This filter does not fit my BISSELL Hard Floor Expert Deluxe Canister Vacuum Cleaner Machine, 1161 as it is advertised to do so.Very disappointed.

Ordered this pre-filter at the same time as the paper filter. As you can tell from the picture, they are not the same size. The one on the right is the original that came with the vacuum. I don't know why it was recommended for this vacuum right beside the paper filter. So, by the time I went replace the old one, it was too late to return the wrong one. So disappointing!

What I received, instead of the square foam filter I expected, was a small rectangle foam filter - not the right item at all. I looked for a contact number for the provider, Zanyzap USA and found none. So I attempted to reach out via the website provided. That resulted in a message that they were excited to provide the website in the future! So, I decided to cut my losses ($6.49) and order directly from Bissell.com. Bissell.com was an excellent choice - price was right, service was excellent and delivery as good or better than Zanyzap.

I placed an order for a new Bissell filter and its accompanying sponge filter insert. I received the items and while the filter is exactly as advertised and fits my Bissell vacuum perfectly, this corresponding sponge insert does not. I am pretty frustrated because the two items are listed as being frequently purchased together giving the natural impression that they are compatible, and the description inaccurately indicated that this would work in conjunction with the filter, but it is rectangular and too small and not square as it appears in the pictures. I am also highly irritated to see that there are no refunds for this order. I feel totally duped.

Filter works well, only one problem I have with it, is that it is not made anymore, so the Bissell manufacture says, which means that after what I have runs out, I might have to go out and uselessly buy and new vacuum cleaner, even that the one I have is in GREAT condition, but the Bissell company refuses to make the replacement parts for the customers that take care of their products, that we purchase form them.

This filter does not fit BISSELL Hard Floor Expert Deluxe Canister Vacuum Cleaner Machine, 1161. Doesn't look like the product photo either.

I just today replaced this pre-motor filter and found it was the wrong size. I needed the 4 1/8" × 4 1/8" square filter. The filter I recieved was 4 1/8" × 3 1/2".

I wasn't sure if this was going to work out for my vacuum but it did. I was very pleased with it. Will buy again when I need a new one.
