Kat's 11813 Engine Heater Cartridge

Q: Does this heater come with thermal grease to better transfer heat to the block?

Hello, My name is Ethan and I work for Auto Cooling Solutions. We sell these Kats Heaters. Unfortunately it does not come with any kind of grease from the manufacturer however you can use some if you would like.

Q: Cannot find the spot on my 2014 tundra for the Kats plug, can anyone help?

Hello, This is a cartridge style Heater, and Toyota decided they didn't want to have to mess with draining, install, refill, bleed the system, run it, top off, etc., so they made a dedicated Block Heater Port for these heaters, if you have found the correct Port Location, there will be no coolant or oil or anything else in there. Just clip it in and go. Keep the cord away from moving parts of course. For your application this location we would need a little more information. A 2014 Toyota Tundra has how many cylinders, and what Liter capacity? Actually... It appears all the listings for 11813's say "RL" Rear (From Drivers Seat) Left . I did find one with a "FL" Front Left. As far as we can see, possible Engines on a 14 Tundra, 4.0, 4.6, 5.7. 4.0 = RL 4.6 = RL 5.7 = RL Hope this helps. -ACS -DML

Q: How’s it work not much of a description??

It installs/plugs in to an existing port in the lower part of your engine block. When plugged in, it will keep your engine oil and block preheated. Your engine will start much easier in cold temperatures, save some wear, and take it easier on your battery. The product works well.
