Kappa Quick Release EDC Keychain, Secure and Stylish Pull Apart Detachable Keychain

The media could not be loaded.  I read the reviews fist so i got the titanium one even though i’d of preferred a blacked out one to match the rest of the black titanium keyrings, swivels etc, i read that the black one is cheaply made. I can only vouch for the titanium one! This thing has been such a blessing, it’s only been a week and I feel it’s spared 3 arguments between my girl as she CONSTANTLY forgets her keys and i don’t have the luxury of a push to start vehicle so when my house keys go, usually so does that ignition. When i let her out i still have yet to fully park as it’s tight so i have to turn the car off, run to the house, unlock or lock it, come back and restart the damn car all cause she forgot her keys once again. NOPE! It stays in the ignition, if she wanna be forgetful it really doesn’t bother me like it once did as it’s not a whole process EVERY single time. Not just that if you’re like me you also hate seatbelts and the alarms. Well i have a clip on my keys i stick into the belt housing to prevent the alarm as well. So now i keep the car key in the ignition, the rest clipped into my seatbelt preventing the alarm or light and it holds my keys for me so when i get out i unbuckle it, turn the car off, and clip the car key back with the rest. The amount of practicality this little invention adds is insane to me! I would’ve so bought a few more for myself, my girl, and friends, but with only one color sharing the titanium material it’s not easy to recommend as they would HAVE to get the most expensive one that only resembles a silver finish. However, for me idc i’d love another one, again really really prefer a titanium one in all black with a solid coating that’s not gonna rub off too easy either. That’s literally all this product needs. The price in my opinion is fine for the ease of use and practicality of this thing and it holds well. It’s solid, it clips off relatively easy if you want it off, yet clip it on and swing your keys around i guarantee it stays on every time. It’s not gonna fall off, if it does it will be followed by a pretty hefty tug which you’re sure to feel just before hearing the “snap” of the release. I would simply get swivels like me so your keys don’t get jammed and tug. This build is far better than magnets, those fall off all the time and are useless. This one stays in tact, it makes my life a hell of a lot easier tbh day to day and i’d LOVE MORE IN BLACK TITANIUM!!!!!! Very re-assuring clicks each time and i mess with it quite frequently adhd as hell and it’s still held up perfect, not a scratch, ding, scuff, sense of loss of durability, it’s not gotten any looser, it feels like a very well made and thought out product which is why using any other material other than titanium is doing the product a disservice. Titanium is light, and it has the same yield as steel. This piece is lighter than my swivels which are smaller by twice the size but are unfortunately stainless. All in all I love it, if you guys do release a black titanium one i want notifications, better yet, a free sample of a few of them lol.

Great product works better than every quick release keychain I've ever bought. Trust me I've tried them all. Super simple design. There only draw back is if you get the lexan one. After awhile where the spilt ring attaches it shows sign of wear. now it may take a 100 years but eventually it will wear through. So I ordered another in titanium for the added strength. But all in all it's well worth the price.

The media could not be loaded.  Strong quick detach. Utilizing a spring instead of magnets for retention, it won’t stick to your other accessories or keys. It’s holds on well, best if it’s attached to a belt someway to prevent ripping a weak belt loop, say if you use a carabiner for your keys. You certainly get what you pay for: a sturdy, reliable quick release.7 month update:My keys have only detached and dropped three times since I’ve steered using it, all three times due to putting about 40 lbs of weight on my hip taking down a unbuilt bike in a box from a shelf. The lack of magnets has been great, since it doesn’t stick to other things, say a keyring, extra keys, anything metal that comes close to other quick detach mechanisms. When it comes to reattaching the two bits, two hands are required, as it takes deliberate force to take the bits apart, as well as get the bits attached again. Again, you’re paying for the build quality, which is above average for sure.One year update: still works, wears well. Retention still requires a good tug to break apart, being non-magnetic has helped a lot, can’t imagine the hassle with keys/tools sticking to it.Two year update: retention spring is still kickin, some of the nickel finish has slowly but surely rubbed off from months and months of key rings rubbing against it, though it still looks pretty nice otherwise. I’ll say it now after having it for a little over two years: if you have car keys, you need this.

Why the strange Star Rating? Well, this product would be outstanding if the purpose of said product was to withstand the strength of the Incredible Hulk. Admittedly I'm 68 and in fairly good shape but with a bit of arthritis but I'll be d...ed if i could easily get these two pieces to easily separate. I certainly do not want to lose my keys but i also don't want to commandeer the jaws of life every time i need to pull them apart when on the fly. Obviously many folks found them to work well. Perhaps i got a bad pair but I'm going to settle on my second choice. So unless you've play offensive guard for the NFL, buyer beware.

Far higher quality and better functioning than any other key ring quick-disconnect on the market. Lightweight. Will do it's job for the rest of my life.

Love the look and feel of the product. I was looking for something like this to match the titanium rings and titanium clip on my keychain, and this works great. I hope the spring inside is as tough as the outside because, I separate my keyfob from the other keys every day. Also it feels secure, no issues with it detaching by itself. This item deserves to be in it’s own little box, centered in a soft foam for a better presentation. This way it will be a great gift for a loved one on their birthday or Christmas. Also, it’s made in the USA, which is nice.

I don't write reviews but I just had to chime in on this. I wanted a quick release keychain that was simple to pull apart, but not too easy. I've had issues with the magnet ones coming apart when I did not want them to and I was worried about this product. This is super sturdy and I cannot picture it coming undone without it being on purpose. It's also not very difficult to pull apart. Such a great design.It's also very sleek and rad looking. I've had mine for 5 months and even bought a second one. It's an expensive keychain but worth every cent. I've even had someone ask me where I got mine. 5 stars!
