How does this transmit to the monitor? Is there a wireless receiver plugged into the monitor?

Hi, the hollyland transmission system contains one transmitter, and one receiver which is able to be plugged into the monitor. And the dual ballhead mount is multi-functional that you could mount other external monitors or photographic gears.

If the camera is connected via hdmi, can is transmit via sdi?

Could i use this in a fixed application to transmit hdmi to an outdoor tv? i realize it is not the intended purpose, but it seems like a good option o

Hi dear, Hollyland mars 300 Wireless video transmission in some way is equivalent to a very long HDMI cable. It’s impossible to monitor and up streaming on computer directly with only one cable, because HDMI of computer only outputs video and can not input video. How to achieve it? To achieve this function, a USB video capture card is required. Mars 300 receiver connects with USB capture card via HDMI interface, and the USB capture card also connects to the computer vis USB port. In this way, the computer can achieve monitor and stream through software such as OBS, VLC, vMix. More, for your conveniences, we would send you a gift "functional ballhead mount kit" for mounting with on-camera filed monitor or other photography gears! Thanks
