Purchased to avoid bringing heavy and bulky ear protection in hunting and range environments. I like the feature of being able to "open" the ear plugs where appropriate versus having to completely remove them. Packaging includes a small metal case for transport but be careful when first removing items from packaging in that the additionally provided ear gels can scatter! Price on Amazon was actually better than direct purchase from manufacturer.

Bought my first pair of Axil ear plugs a few years ago. They were the basic Axil ear plugs that had only the diaphragm in the ear plug. I've misplaced them so I purchased a new upgraded set.I've fired well over a thousand rounds of everything from 22 rimfire through the magnums and I've never had a problem of any sort using these ear plugs. I used the ear plugs only without any additional ear protection.When I see reviews with extremely low ratings I tend to believe they were missing the diaphragms in the plugs or were inserted in the nose rather than the ears.

I tryed it for the first night last night it was vary uncomfortable to wear while sleeping then I woke up in the AM and the ear plugs got stuck in my ear I almost could not get out of my ear!!!! I would not recommend it to go to sleep in....IM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER WOULD LIKE TO have my money back.....

I have several pairs of these snd love them. Bought them initially on a Kickstarter and have since purchased three more pair!

These are very small, uncomfortable and low quality considering the price tag. Seek alternative. A .25 cent pair of poof earplugs would work better than these

I wear my earplugs most of the day. The majority of the time I don't actually need hearing protection but it is required for my job. I bought these because I though it would help me hear better when I wasn't in noisy areas. They did do that. My problem is that the tips wore out and they were constantly falling out of my ears. They would be fine for occasional use but don't get them if you are planning on wearing them regularly.

I had really high hopes for these. Tried really hard to get them to work and my ear was actually sore the next day. The teeny little switches on each ear plug we're nearly impossible to operate. I could not tell if it was my fingernail clicking on the switch or the switch actually clicking from one position to another. Once the switch is flipped you don't know and you can't tell which mode it is in. The little tab that is supposed to help you remove the plug from your ear is nearly impossible to find and grasp once the plug is in your ear.

These will only work for tiny women or children.
