Decent structure, some edges came chipped
I was too lazy to pull out the jigsaw to make my own puzzle joint cuts, so I bought this quick-build setup. Overall happy with the product, it came with quality design, good cuts, everything pre-drilled, and sturdy when put together.A couple gripes that are really just being nit-picky.The instructions only have pictures of the parts sliding together with a few single-sentence instructions on the bottom. There is no instruction on screws nor does it mention any wood gluing (suggesting it may be built well enough to not require glue, but always a good measure to apply) . The product includes wood screws. It noted the parts were numbered, but I looked everywhere and the parts were definitely not numbered. All this is basically to state that the buyer requires at least a beginner's knowledge of woodworking to get by on assembly.Lastly, a few of the plywood edges near the drill sites were chipped on arrival. For me, this isn't a big deal; I'm sanding the edges a bit more, putting a coat of polyurethane on it, and ultimately plan to beat the crap out of it anyway. But for those looking for a more pristine box, this may pose a problem.

Super sturdy but a challenge to assemble
If this review were strictly for function, I'd give it 5 stars. This thing is a beast. "Sturdy" does not do it justice, and the finished sides are incredibly smooth. All of the parts (screws and wood pieces) were included, but I bought and used wood glue along the seams, to make it extra strong. The packaging was minimal, which I appreciate. They used only what was necessary and were not wasteful. It was also delivered quickly. The assembly process, though, was challenging, to say the least. I started out using a drill whose battery was dying, so I switched to a screwdriver partway through. It was so awful that I sat around, waiting for the drill to recharge rather than trying to finish it by hand. If you want to sink the screws, which I did, a drill is necessary. Plus, getting one of the pieces seated properly took almost a half hour and copious swearing. It was about two millimeters offset, which was frustratingly close but not close enough. I ended up standing on one piece to shift it over a little and kicking the piece that wouldn't fit until it wedged itself in place. Thank goodness, the rest of the pieces fit just fine.

Great box for me.
I'm quite happy with this. I read reviews of many similar boxes. Complaints about other boxes had me skeptical. Many people find this size of box too small, some complain that the boxes need sanding. I exercise barefooted, I'm 5'4" and around 125 lbs. My shoe size is anywhere from 6 to 7.5. I found this box to be perfectly sized, very sturdy, easy to assemble, and quit smooth. My only complaint is in regards to the screws. I would love it if there was a slight countersink at each screw hole -- so that the screws are slightly beneath the surface of the wood. I will not be using this box directly on my hardwood floor (it's not safe anyway), nor will I push it across the floor, or put any weight on it while it is on the hardwood. The screw do give me extra incentive to properly position my feet on the box.

Extremely sturdy, well constructed, can handle way too much abuse
All of the reviews that mention that this box is sturdy or very sturdy really haven't done this thing justice. This box is bombproof. Building it is incredibly easy with a power screw driver, but with a bit of elbow grease it can definitely be done with hand tools (battery on my power drill went out halfway through the build, so half was done with a manual screw driver). Pre-drilled holes are precisely placed and kept all of my edges flush. Still as solid as the day it was built after months of constant heavy abuse. The instructions say that there is a 400 lb maximum weight limit, but with two ~200 lb individuals using the box simultaneously I would be confident this thing would have no problem handling much more weight than this. I would highly recommend this box to anyone that is serious about their equipment and doesn't want to worry about how hard they're using it.

Sturdy and Affordable
These are the 16/14/12 version. Was skeptical about these since they're wooden and all, but once I put them together I was convinced. I have no question that it'll hold my weight plus some. Also like that I can change the height by an easy rotation of the box vs having multiple steel boxes of varying heights.Box is super easy to assemble. Luckily I had a power drill and rubber mallet that made the job easier. The pieces are built out of what looks like some sort of 3/4 inch plywood. Everything fits together perfectly. No weird gaps or anything.Tbh, I bought two to use as jerk boxes for olympic lifting (cleans/snatch from blocks). I'll eventually add edges and rubber matting so the bar doesn't roll off, but I'm confident they'll hold up. Much cheaper to buy these and DIY than buying a set from Rogue. Actually, it's much much cheaper to just go to Home Depot, but I'm lazy, so this is halfway.

I purchased the 16x14x12 box and love it! It did take me some time to put together (abt 45 mins) with the help of my husband, but I am mechanically challenged.I debated on this size and the next size up (I’m a newby) and I’m so glad I picked the smaller one!! It’s perfect for step ups and box jumps. I have tried jumps on the 16 in side and that’s quite a jump for me. But this thing is so sturdy, no skidding or sliding at all.Overall very happy with this purchase and the quality!!Good job Rep Fitness!!!

Rock solid box!
This plyo box is rock solid. You won't regret this purchase. I used 2 1/2" deck screws, but 2" would work just as good. Plus, I glued all the pieces and seams with wood glue. This is the 16x20x24 box.

The box is well made and the drill holes were perfect.Assembly was easy and I used glue in addition to the packaged screws.I've been using the box for a couple weeks now, and I weigh 250lbs and I have no structural concerns at all.Actually, it's been a family affair ...2 members of the family use it for Step-Ups.1 member of the family uses it for Box JumpsFuture plans call for using it for Inverted Push-ups and various other exercises.I would purchase this brand again if the need arises.

Solid 16x20x24 box
This box is superbly well built. I'm currently starting off on the 16 inch side and so far very stable. A lot of the reviewers are adding white glue to the build, but I got impatient and built it without and I have no regrets. Each edge has three long screws holding it together. There are recess holes for the screw heads so it won't scratch your floors. I might varnish mine to give it a sticky texture since it is just wood.

Great
Love it however the instructions said the pieces would be labeled A, B C... it was not. I figured it out but still . Once together I’m totally satisfied.
