Transformers Bots and Robbers Police Headquarters

First I think these Transformer things are a bit pricey. The transformation of the police car to robot is a bit cheesy. All you have to do is flip the car on its tail end. The underside of the car reveals a robot - No amazement! Nothing to "move" to transform. I know this is supposed to be simple for kids but it would have been better if there was a very simple mechanic involved - a flip or twist of something to actually transform. The mechanics that are involved is where you put the robot car in a ramp and it shoots out in car mode. There is no oompf behind whatever springs that shoot the car out and certainly not something for on the carpet. It is also a little tricky to get the car in the right way for the ready to shoot out mode. But after some practice and showing it worked well enough. All in all the little guy (age 4) likes it for sure and because of this I raised my rating of 'okay' to 'I like it.'

My almost five year old LOVES this toy. He's recently become obsessed with the whole Rescue Bots thing and basically has all Rescue Bots toys known to man kind.This toy, however, is above and beyond all others for him. I don't know why. I don't get the extreme attraction as it seems like most other toys but he and ALL his friends act like this is the best toy on the planet. In fact, a couple of his friends have asked for this same toy for their birthdays after having played with it.It makes the transformer noise, it has a police siren and it comes with Chase, the Rescue Bot. The Chase toy does not really transform. There is a robot on the bottom and a car on top so the transformation consists of flipping the car over but this doesn't seem to bother any of the kids.Also, there is a jail and a bad guy to go in the jail. There is even a trap door where they can trap the bad guy and then drive him to jail in the back of Chase. This seems to be a great hit too.It is beyond me, but 5-6 year olds seem to LOVE this toy.

Bots and Robbers Police Headquarters is similar to the Imaginext sets the kids love! However, this is a really fun playset with a few additional bells and whistles! Fun sounds as you transform your police station and get the police car ready to roll! Watch the bank robber break open the safe. "Quick! Catch him! Let's put him behind bars where he belongs!" The play set is two sided, so you can add figures on the top and up the ladder on the back! I have taken pictures to show you what comes with your set . I have also taken a picture to show you some of our other figures that we have - to show you the proper scale! Please NOTE: Your set comes only with the police station, police car and figure! It is fun to add the other Bots as well! Excellent price point! This will make a great gift!

I bought this Bots and Robbers transformer for my grandson that lives in Texas. I live in Ohio. He came to visit me not long ago and told me when I get off the plane in September I should have this toy in my suitcase. So what should I do? I ordered it to be in my suitcase when I go to Texas in September! What else would a grandmother do??? I have not taken it out of the box but upon inspecting it, it is well made and even has a dvd with it. I am sure without a doubt that Eli is going to love it!!! If I find out that it is inferior when I get to Texas, I will report back, but I do not see that as happening.

My son loves this toy, but for $40, you sure don't get much. It's a lot smaller than the Transformers Rescue Bots Playskool Heroes Fire Station (which was about $27). I also wish they gave you more than just one "bad guy" to play with and Chase. My son needs a police man or something to have more fun with this toy. Also. I wish it came with fake coins because the top has an open slot that can be dumped into the vault (which is really cool). The alarm goes off too of you hit the red button to open the vault, which my 4 year old just loves.In summary, I'd suggest paying no more than $30 and under for this toy and also buying more little men to play with, as well as small coins or something for the vault, so the "bad guy" has something to actually steal.

My son loves this toy! Him and his brother can play for hours! I only have two gripes: first, I ordered my other son the rescue bot firestation, and the police station is quite a bit smaller in comparison; second, the police station comes with a Chase police car rescue bot that is suppose to transform but really you just stand the car up and the bottom of it resembles Chase from the cartoon. It is a little bit of a let down, so I would recommend ordering a real transforming Chase for those of you who have avid Rescue Bot fans like me!

My son saved his money for quite awhile to buy this, and sadly it gets played with the least out of his toys. I didn't think it looked that great to begin with, so I wasn't surprised, but he seemed a little disappointed. He has a lot of the Imaginext play sets and they are by far better than this. He has quite the imagination, so he has put it to use, but it's just kind of "blah", in our opinion. It could be that we are used to the Imaginext brand and in our opinion, there isn't much that beats those toys. What you see is what you get, so if you like it as described, than you will probably enjoy it.

I followed the suggestions of the other reviewers and also purchased the Police Bot, which really does change from a car to a robot, unlike the car that comes with this unit. However, my 3 3/4 year old grandson does like putting the robber down the trap door and opening the hatch for him. he uses the car that comes with the unit to haul the robber, because it has an open trunk area just right for this purpose. There is a siren when you press the lever. i will say the car rack does not work great for loading the car and releasing via the lever, but Alex does not mind. Overall, a good toy for this age into the 4's.
