Panasonic ER-GP81 with Ultimate Precision Hair Clipper

I bought these to replace my Wahl hair trimmers. Wahl have a reputation as the best in the field, and they were very good, but I really wanted some cordless clippers. I have trimmed my own hair for many years now and had several pairs of clippers over that time. The Wahl were the best yet, but these Panasonic clippers eclipse them, in terms of cutting ability, and by quite a margin.They cut so very very well and I find it takes me much less time. That they are cordless helps a lot, and, contrary to expectations, because it is the achilles heel of so many rechargeable products, the battery life is really superb. There is not the slightest loss of power during the cut and I can do two cuts very easily on one charge. It is no trouble to charge in the cradle which sits on my bedside table permanently, but I am sure I could do at least three cuts without charging if I needed to.They run through my hair so easily with no snagging or hesitation.I have one criticism. The on/off switch is very sensitive - only a light touch and it activates. It is positioned exactly where one naturally rest one's thumb and the consequence is that I found myself turning it off (or on as the case may be). I had to consciously learn a way of holding the clippers so that I did not keep activating the on/off switch. I imagine it was placed there deliberately as being most convenient. But I cannot see that that was necessary and it actually becomes a nuisance. This is a shame because it is a blot on an otherwise excellent product.

I am really happy with this clipper. For me probably one of the best clippers ever.

Very good for a professional in skinfades like a samurai precision cutting but like the new cars this was the er 82 and broke after 2 years in constant use . I got the er80 battery not so good but works after 4 years. I love this trimmers er as a barber l depending of a good trimmer and they are the best.
