Air Swimmer - Helium Tank

My Grand Nephew had and is still enjoying his floating shark remote control...plenty helium left to keep him full.

While the air swimmer is fun, it's very difficult to assemble and balance correctly (just as an aside).The helium tank, however, was useless. It failed to fill the air swimmer even minimally, which was infuriating seeing that I paid nearly $60 for it. Save yourself the money and take your air swimmer to a local party store, where they'll be happy to fill it for you for about $6.

We bought this Helium tank as it was advertised on the air swimmers page, and it has "air swimmers" in the name, and it is the one product that can be seen in the instructional videos for the air swimmers. Unfortunately it does not work. It seems to be a Helium/Air mix and although we blew up the shark quite complete it does barely not float. We are at around 50-100m altitude. We did not expect this and only saw it afterwards on the tank (see attached picture).Thus, if you are looking for a helium tank for the air swimmers, this one unfortunately does not work.

I feel like the negative reviews stem from operator error or cheap balloons. I bought this tank, in a panic, when I learned that there is a "helium shortage" and the Dollar Store would not let me buy their helium to fill the balloons I had already purchased on Amazon. When used as instructed, I was easily able to fill four very large mylar balloons, as well as a dozen latex. The helium flowed very steadily and evenly, making it quite impossible to pop the balloon while filling. The mylar ballons are still floating after 5 days, while the latex balloons 'lost helium' after 5-8 hours. (That is not the fault of this helium tank.) The only downside is that I found the exact same tank at Target for 21 bucks!

The helium tank I bought it was suppose to have helium in it and it didn’t. I bought my 4yr old grandson one of them swimmer sharks and has yet to play with it because it had no helium in the tank. I was very upset.

I purchased this helium tank along with two Air Swimmers. The tank cost more than an Air Swimmer. It barely filled up one of the balloons, so we had to go out to a party store to purchase another. The helium tank the store sold filled two Air Swimmers and still had gas left. It was also cheaper than this one and came with an assortment of balloons. This was not a good deal and I wouldn't recommend it.

This helium tank does contain good helium and makes your balloon float! I know it's a silly comment but you won't believe how many times vendors will trick you with half filled and filled with low purity helium. I used it to fill up two extra large size peppa pig and two small size round balloons and still there's some left! I would recommend it to anyone who's decorating for a small party and inexperienced because it is really easy and safe to use! The only drawbacks here is the price, and I need to figure out where to recycle this tank...

Contacted seller, as balloons stayed hard, but only floated for 2 hrs then fell to the ground. Expired helium? Is that possibke? Seller said balloons leaked- not true.

Just as ordered. It only fills 15-17 12” balloons so not a tremendous value per balloon.

This tank cannot me re-filled. You will have to dispose it once it is used up.Consider the alternative of getting whatever you are filling done at a local gas supplier.
