Soft and sturdy
I love this brand and it’s my go to for doing yoga and stretching exercises. We use blocks in yoga and I wanted to get my own. I really love the softness and sturdiness in this block! It’s the perfect weight, not like some of the lighter ones. I love how the corners are carved out and the way it functions. Nice price and colors to choose from too. I’m very happy with my block and I will be ordering one more for a set. I definitely recommend and my yoga friends are really impressed with it. Thank you Amazon!

Pretty, lightweight yoga blocks
I have just started to take Yin Yoga classes and needed to get the appropriate accessories. I bought two of surf blue blocks, and these are very lightweight and stable for my purposes. There are less expensive yoga blocks available from other manufacturers that will serve the exact same purpose, but I wanted something pretty. :) As other reviewers have said, these are darker than in the product photo, but I still like them very much and glad they are a little bit darker than shown as they will be less likely to show any dirt or scuffing.

One of the Studiest, High-Quality Yoga Blocks Around
As a former yoga teacher (who also let his practice lapse for way to long), I recently started back up. I already had one Hugger Mugger block in the exact same color, and now that I'm a great deal tighter than when I last practiced a felt like I needed a pair. Most of the studios where I had taught used Hugger Mugger, and I know they are high quality, so it wasn't a tough decision to make. Now a few months into my renewed practice, I have found these blocks to be super useful when I need to find some extra balance or have some support in challenging poses. I also like that my two blocks match, lol. I recommend these blocks to help take your practice to new heights with quality props!

High quality block of foam.
It's a block of foam, I mean really? But this one is solid and it works well in yoga for those of us who aren't that limber yet. It's say it's of higher quality than the blocks that my studios have used. Seems easy to clean, easy to use. Next time I might try a block of cork as it "might" be more ecological as cork being a natural material should decompose at the end of it's life. I say "might" because the glue that is used in cork blocks may not be all that great.I will say that I think this block of foam is more dense than the "Gaia" brand of blocks that my studio bought.

Love these blocks
Perfect. Firm enough to stand on.

So sturdy!
I use these for my prenatal yoga modification on my Manduka Pro mat and they are a dream! They are so firm and never slip! My hands feel braced with the blocks under them and I will never buy another brand of blocks ever again!

Perfectly dense and supportive!
New to yoga and plus-sized, I use the foam blocks provided at class. They sort of wobbled and I decided to not use them until my friend let me borrow her hugger mugger set. I am changed! These are worth the money! They support me much better and don't compress as much. I have been using them more and noticed they really help me progress to the harder poses!Lets talk about germs. I bought the non-cork kind because I thought they'd be easier to clean. I think I am right there. It's so nice to have my own set that I can ensure have a low germ factor. Also, I love the purple... matches my mat!

HM are nice blocks but way too pricey - ProSource blocks are not too far behind
I got a pair of Hugger Mugger blocks and also a significantly cheaper pair of ProSource blocks. The purple color of the Hugger Mugger blocks is much lighter than what is shown here. It is also a touch darker than it appears on the Hugger Mugger website. This block is a bit denser, heavier and firmer than the ProSource brand. It also looks and feels just a little more premium. This has 4" thick whereas the ProSource is actually 3.75" thick.Regardless, the ProSource does a very nice job of holding it's own. Although H/M brand is considered a 'superior' foam by some, I find that the very slight softness of the ProSource makes keeping the poses easier as it is gentler on my soft hands and back. The H-M blocks do feel ever-so-slightly more stable likely due to the extra 1/4 inch width, density and weight. However I feel they provide very little benefit given the premium price. That's why it lost a star.

Serious Quality, Better Than The Rest
I have bought many foam blocks over my time as a yoga teacher and they have pretty much all been the same - light weight, scratch and chip easily and somewhat unstable. The Hugger Mugger block is different. It is a heavier block with denser foam. The surface is stronger and basically chip and scratch resistant. Because of this the feel of the block is harder which makes it a little more uncomfortable under the tail bone and upper back but it is perfect for under the hand in standing balance poses. Highly recommend.
