The Circle: How the Power of a Single Wish Can Change Your Life

Process you can use for the rest of your life......
This is not just a book! As Laura has said she writes books so that they are a workshop & this book is just that. Honestly, I feel like I can let go every book I have ever bought on the conscious creation process because this book has it all. The process, which she has put together is not long or hard to understand. This book is actually short with room to write with the exercises! However, when you really want something- you can come up against resistance....& this process really explores that! This is my FAVORITE book of all time! I keep it close to me! Also, during spring/summer 2020 Laura has held many free zoom workshops and IG lives where the group works on the CIRCLE together! This has been beautiful and transformative for me! Laura is a generous, beautiful, and insightful person. She is one of the kindest people I have come across in my walk here on earth. She says that when you heal others, you heal yourself......So it has not been difficult for me to find healing within the circle that she has created! I love this book ...I recommend it for people that really want to create a desire! I also recommend all of her books! They are all genius. So much love to anyone who wants to explore the circle firsthand, as it has been such a beautiful experience for me! I plan to use this process for the rest of my life, and I can't say that about too many things!!!!

This has what "The Secret" left out...
Finally a very positive book that shows you why the other manifesting books have not worked!! I've read many of these books and all leave me with what I consider to be "flawed" truth. The Circle asks you to start with self-assessment. It starts where Louise Hay left off by saying that you must believe yourself worthy of the things you want, but it goes deeper as this passage reveals:"Once your are conscious of something--whether a behavior or a value or a hidden agenda-you are more able to make the choice to move beyond it."The Circle, while written in the eternal future/present of having the wish you want to manifest already true in your life, does not gloss over how conflicting emotions, your perception of the reality of your situation, and subconscious drives can work to make sure your dreams and affirmations fail. If you believe in the idea of manifesting, you also have to accept that you created what you have now and most importantly.....are maintaining it through your belief system and the external structures that have formed around it to support your assumptions! It is very easy to say you want X which is being kept from happening by supporting structure Y, which you have decided you can not live without!! Wishing for X doesn't magically change your refusal to part with Y!The Circle says that you can not affirm your ability to manifest something and at the same time expect that affirmation to instantly remove negative beliefs and external structures that are directly related to the manifestation. It points out that focusing on an affirmation will immediately bring into awareness the road blocks that have always stopped you from having what you want. Many people see this as the universe denying the manifestation, when it is the opposite. What comes is not a message from god that you are wrong in wanting something; it is a message that there needs to be action on your part. The above mentioned real world structures need to be dismantled and the conscious and unconscious conflicts that created them addressed. What, The Circle, does is take you on an inner journey to uncover the assumptions and deeply held beliefs that are the "real" cause of your difficulty. It uses simple, but meaningful examples to illustrate its points. Affirming that you want and deserve an attractive new partner will not work if you are so negative about your appearance and self-worth that you can't look an attractive person in the face and smile?? Manifesting takes inner work.

The Greatest Adventure
Allow me now to tell you an amazing story. I was at a book signing for my own book, "Saturday Night at the Open Door Cafe"Saturday Night at the Open Door Cafe, at Borders in 2008. They placed my table close to a table of books on sale. Too close. Every time I moved, my left elbow was knocking off a book on the corner. After picking it up for the third time and straightening the little stack, it almost seemed as if something (the book??) was tugging at my sleeve.I picked it up and read the subtitle: "How the Power of a Single Wish Can Change Your Life". I sold two books that day, but the real reason why I was there was to "find" this book. It sat on my bookshelf for two months. I had started a new job that took many hours, but in the end the business never opened, and the owner sent all of us home. I left two jobs to take this one and it went under before the sign went up. So now what? I remembered the book and started reading it. At first I was skeptical, primarily because I grew up in a tradition that fostered the idea of a dis-empowered creation (us), dependent upon a capricious creator, sometimes depicted in writings as having infantile emotions (a projection of our own infantile emotions?). But then I decided to give the premise a try. The Circle, "presence of God", or however you wish to define it, is where the creation process works. I chose something that had been a lifelong dream- living in Ireland (not just vacationing there) -- something so amazing that if it happened, it would prove the method of manifesting actually worked. Following the process Laura outlines in "The Circle", for two weeks, I began to feel as if the next logical step would be to make reservations for a flight and a cottage in which to live my dream. The only thing missing was the financial aspect. Into the third week, I was having lunch with a friend, and they said, "Weren't you wanting to go back to Ireland when your lease was up in October?" "Uh-h-h, yes, but..." "Well, if it's a matter of the finances and you feel as if you're supposed to go, I'll give you the money." WHAT??? I went home and made the reservations, packed my belongings in a storage unit, and got on a plane November 13th. I stayed there three months, During my time there I met the most amazing, kind, awakened people, all part of the awakening process in my own life. Does it work? I cannot deny I stood on Irish soil, walked down Irish roads, played music in Irish traditional music sessions. I can only hope that I am able to repay the kindness and expanded awareness that was my experience and an integral part of my evolution. Many thanks to Laura for awakening me (us?) to the knowledge that we are ALL powerful co-creators of our own reality.NOTE: This book differs from the book I originally bought in that this is a workbook with spaces to record your answers. It is perfect for a book club, and we are now using it for our March 2014 selection.

I love this book!
This book has had a huge positive impact on my life. I find other self-help books tend to work on a specific issue (creativity, leadership in the workplace, love), whereas this looks at your life as a whole. People talk about 'manifesting' but this supports you to *become* the person who can achieve what it is you want. It’s really shifted the dial for me, cannot recommend it enough.

I love this book
I love this book. It's very inspiring. It speaks of simple truths, and many of the things discussed are well known to us, but Ms. Day in with her writing helps us organize ourselves, our thoughts and ambitions to help us create the reality we dream of.I recommend re-reading it a few times, because the messages are very powerful and our subconscious mind might not be able to grasp the full gist in just one read.

Nice book
I love this book. This is the second book of her's that I have read I do recommend this one but I would avoid buying her other book Crisis because it was nothing more than common sense. I'm not to keen on the fact that Laura tries to validate her Psychic work with science proven facts and that she changes words which is slightly ambiguous. However I would still buy this book again for a friend.I also recommend reading anything by Neville Goddard, Dr. Joseph Murphy, Catherine Ponder and Florence Scovel Shinn.

Take control of your life and materialise your dreams!
I've found Laura Day's "The Circle" the most useful self-help book I've come across. A clear, structured process helps you to understand and clarify your goal, guides you through the process of formulating it and clearing away roadblocks to achieve it. In the process, you will connect your energy to others that support you and vice versa. The exercise section helps you use all available resources to achieve your goal. Highly recommended for daily reading, even just 5 minutes a day. You'll find yourself working on the section you need most in that moment. If you get a chance, go to one of her events to meet Laura!
