The Ingersoll Men's Boonville Automatic Watch blends contemporary and classic analog styling for a unique design. Set atop the watch's visible automatic movement are three subdials at six, nine, and twelve o'clock positions. The subdial at the twelve o'clock position features classic moon and sun imagery, which evoke an attractive style cue from the past. The perimeter of the dial sports Arabic minute markers, and the entire dial is protected by a mineral crystal. The watch's textured leather band closes with a clasped deployment buckle. Other features include water resistance to 99 feet (30 meters). This watch comes with a luxurious Ingersoll watch case, making this timepiece ideal for gift giving.

During their years of tireless creative urge, Robert and Charles Ingersoll, the founders of one of the oldest American watch manufacturers, established many milestones in the field of developing pocket and wrist watches. They followed an ambitious plan that incorporated on the one hand, to offer watches to the broad public, and on the other hand to offer reasonable prices whilst maintaining real quality. In 1892, thanks to Henry Ford, they succeeded in developing an automated method of production, first for pocket watches and later for wrist watches. Alongside the existing handcrafted production of Ingersoll watches, an automated production of watches was established.With high quality and precision, at the very reasonable price of 1 dollar (which was a day's wages at the time) the so-called "Dollar-Watch" was born. The Dollar-Watch became so popular that about 1 million of these watches were produced. Even Theodore Roosevelt mentioned that during his hunting trip in Africa he was described as "the man from the country where Ingersoll was produced."The success of the "Dollar Watch" (also called the "Yankee") from then on was amazing. The Ingersoll brothers had to adapt to increasing production and increasing production plants. Meanwhile, the product range had been expanded by some technical pioneering refinements. Knew I'd be wearing it a lot the moment I saw it out of the watch case.
Minor potential issues of quality control aside (the first of these came to me with a bit of a rattle and an inability to correctly keep time within ten minutes per hour), my current Boonville is the watch I wear the most (out of too many). And it looks sharper, even, than the pictures. I've received surprising numbers of complements from both men and women, and from self-professed watch-lovers and just people who admire jewelry, as they say, for what that is worth.The strap's odd structure (It has a hinged clasp to set the length based on to which hole in the leather it is set, and then uses a standard double clasp, as if a metal watch, and so essentially is like a bracelet watch but with a leather band) could use a bit of tweaking in that the one hinge is, perhaps, a bit looser than it needs (the watch never falls off, but makes putting the watch on a bit more difficult some times than it probably should be), but particularly at the price, it's a beautiful piece of gear.

Nice product. Appears to be well made and has a nice presence on my wrist but it's a bit on the "heavy" side. The buckle clasp was initially baffling and took some getting used to; still not sure I like it. It's a very thick watch and does not always fit under the cuff of long sleeve shirts. Annoying but not necessarily a deal breaker. Seems to keep time well in comparison to other automatic watches purchased.

broke quickly, and the warranty is useless,
Watch broke within a few months after only a few gentle wears. It took 4 emails, two phone calls and a month of waiting before Ingersoll customer service got back to me. Despite the fact that this comes with a warranty, you have to pay a large fee to send it in and have it fixed. I asked to just get a refund and they refused. Thankfully Amazon let me refund it, although there was a restocking fee, but whatever.A 300$+ watch that breaks so quickly isn't worth it despite how pretty a watch it is.

Nice looking watch with a problem (not sure if it was shipping damage or manufacturing)....
Nice looking watch, but had a defect with the second hand and associated flywheel. I could not tell if this was due to a manufacturing defect, or if it was severely jarred out of battery in shipping... Either way, I sent it to Ingersoll's regional service center for repair. Even though the repair is nominally covered, there was an administrative fee involved....

This is a great watch
It is a gorgeous watch, a lot of details on it, is like having a lexus car, no problems at all, time is very accurate and easy to set the time. automatic movement no batteries needed, just winding. I recommend you, if you have the money buy this watch,I promise you will feel very satisfied wearing this timepiece on your wrist, it's very classy, the butterfly clasp band is amazing it gives the watch a lot of elegance And you will have a lot of compliments from the people because is a catching eyes, for sure they will ask you where you bought from and how much you paid for it. Start saving money to buy it. check regularly on Amazon retail price is four hundred something or some times three hundred something, but Amazon sometimes they are very condescending with their customers and the price is 2 hundred seventy something. You have to be monitoring that regularly GOOD LUCK!best regards.
