AR-15 & M-16 5.56mm Handbook

For me, "AR-15 Rifle Builder's Manual: An Illustrated, Step-by-Step Guide to Assembling the AR-15 Rifle" is a much better guide for the shop. I believe this would be handy for taking to the field, but what is the point. I am 51 years old and near sighted. The text and illustrations are very cumbersome on my eyes, but if you need something in a pinch in the field, I suppose this is OK. Not sure why you would need that unless you also carry all your tools with you in the field. There are better books for your workshop if you really want to know how to assemble and disassemble your AR. I would have given it a 2 star, but I do recognize its usefulness for some in the field.

The booklet is for some one with knowledge of this firearm. I had no knowledge, and the booklet was not as much help as hoped for.Thank you

If you are new to the AR 15 this is a great little book. By no means is it a reference for gunsmithing. But it gives step by step with good illustrations on field dressing and complete tare down. Shows and names all the parts. So buy it and put in your caring case and take it with you when you go out to shoot. Basicly it should be titled. AR 15 FOR DUMMIES. 👍👍👍👍👍

The book is very poorly illustrated. Their are no photos just sketch illustrations. True it is a very inexpensive book, but I was able to find a better book for free just by searching the internet for AR-15 manual.

Used for reference and instruction. Reprint could have been clearer.

Good manual to have around if you own a AR-15A2/M16A2 rifle.

Good book but kinda skims over the cleaning of the lower receiver which Does have to be cleaned folks, I basically got it just in case I missed anything. I have been actually more thorough. Only other manual I have is a 1966 M-14 US Army issue.If you know nothing about your first AR as far as maintenance get it..
