La Florentine Dark Chocolate Covered Soft Nougat with Almonds, 5.3 ounce

If you're a torrone lover as well as a lover of dark chocolate, it's right here in one package! It doesn't get any better than this! You will be delighted with your purchase. My only problem with this is, I can't stop myself and I overdose on its deliciousness.

I saw the one negative review here and because the price I was about to pay was exceptionally cheap(it was on some sort of special at the time), I decided to take a chance. I have to report that my experience was quite the opposite of the negative review I read. The order I recieved was fresh and the product is excellent. I love torrone and this is very good. My only criticism is simply that torrone itself is so good, coating it in chocolate, beleive it or not, only detracts from the enjoyment IMHO. If other varieties had been available at the sale price I paid, I'd likely have chosen the plainer or simpler variety over this one.The only other point I'd like to make is that it is true that Amazon is notorious for sending out stale and near out of date grocery items. Old stuff seems to be especially true when it's on one of their specials. The previous reviewer may well have recieved a bad shipment as they described. Whether it was luck or timing, the order I got was very good and it was exceptionally cheap.

We have tried just about every torrone available in the USA. This La Florentine torrone is the best value for money!!! Always SO FRESH with quality almonds and tender and soft nougat, the chocolate cover just puts this torrone over the top. Don't hesitate to buy this from Amazon, because the delivery is super fast from this seller and easy to track. We hope Amazon brings back the La Florentine version with coffee (it's great).

Cento is a decent brandLa Florentine is not at all "bad" compared to the superior turron from Alicante Spain... these almonds were TOO HARD!

I did enjoy this product because it has a pleasant texture, isn't too sweet, and is covered in good quality dark chocolate. However, what the other reviews say about the chocolate overpowering the taste of the torrone is true. I could not taste the torrone or almonds at all. Next time, I will purchase a plain bar of La Florentine Torrone instead of a chocolate covered one.

I love this brand for nougat. Some have a weird after taste, but Torrone has good / REAL ingredients and it tastes amazing. AND... as someone with arthritis in my jaw, it's soft enough to really enjoy it.

Big disappointment. This has very little nougat flavor. At the same time that I ordered this, I ordered the La Florentine Torrone 18-piece assortment (the nougat in the little boxes). I strongly recommend that you skip this product and go with that even though it costs more.

This is probably my new favorite type of candy. I had never heard of Torrone until I decided to try one on a whim. Oh my goodness yum.This chocolate covered torrone is my most favorite. I like the texture and the taste.
