Not easy to fit but worth the effort.
The first thing you need to know that they don't tell you is that the liquid applied between the screen and the protector is not just to position the protector and seal the screen from contamination: it's a powerful glue that sets if you wait too long to wipe off the excess. So all the excess glue around the edges of my phone had turned into solid sap that took half a dozen lens wipes and a lot of patience to take off. So keep that in mind and follow all the steps fairly swiftly.Secondly once you've placed the protector on top of the glue on the screen, air bubbles WILL form. Contrary to what they say in the instructions, you do have to press the protector gently to move the bubbles away to the edge of the protector, there is no other way to get them off before the glue sets in.After an hour of fiddling and a near fail, the protector was installed to a satisfactory result: it is case-friendly, very pleasant to the touch and the in-screen fingerprint reader works fine; I did re-register all my fingerprints for peace of mind, but it was working before that.In conclusion: as the title says, it's a proper pain to fit but the result is worth it.

Good protection for the screen and the fingerprint scanner works!
I installed this perfectly as I am used to doing this sort of thing, but the finger print scanner does not work at all at first, however hard you press. Nothing to do with my ability to install it properly.I actually removed it as I was annoyed with this, then on second thoughts decided to clean it(yes, you can if you know how, just wash it thoroughly with powdered soap, and then let it dry), this was when I noticed how good it was. It's made of plastic,so won't break easily, as I thought I would probably break it when washing it.I then cleaned the phone, and decided to reapply it to protect the screen and forget the fingerprint sensor (I loved so much about its ability to protect the screen now, as previous protectors with my old S8 broke very easily)So, long story short, I decided to do without fingerprint scanner. But wait, the next morning, I checked the finger print again, and low and behold, I was able to register my fingers.Maybe waiting over 12 hours has now allowed the glue to stick better, but if the fingerprint scanner should fail again, I will update this review.Update 1 - 17th May 2020 - My phone fell down full face on concrete at pocket level, so the protector broke, but my screen was intact which confirms to me this does indeed protect the lcd screen.Currently, I am deducting 1 star for the fact that the fingerprint protector can be hit and miss especially if the finger is dry. It works better if the finger is a little moist. In summary:1. Good protective ability for the screen2. It's not a fingerprint magnet like others3. The fingerprint scanner works, though you might need to press a tiny bit harder

Strong and easily fitted
In some ways the screen protector is easier to fit than a traditional plastic film one. If you follow instructions properly you shouldn't get any bubbles. The only downside is that the fingerprint sensor becomes a lot less sensitive. The first day after fitting, it barely worked at all. After a day of settling in works fine but requires more pressure than before.

Good product but a couple of issues
The protector looks good on the screen. It's not glass but it's hard plastic which I still prefer over the flimsy film ones.I'm not sure about the application process, you need to apply the liquid adhesive then the protector before shining the supplied UV light on the screen to dry the adhesive. It's easy enough but it seems a bit overcomplicated and unnecessary. I've never had a problem with the traditional (peel and stick) method. The product looks good quality, well made and well packaged but again, the application process seems like a bit of a gimmick.I have subtracted 2 stars from my overall review:1. The protector falls slightly short of the full screen, there is a 1-2mm gap all the way around. This might seem picky but it just annoys me. I understand the reason is to prevent the protector from peeling away when pushing the phone into a case but I've never had a problem with this before and this particular protector is more than strong enough to withstand it.2. The in-screen fingerprint scanner is a lot less sensitive. I have added multiples of my fingerprint after applying the screen protector but the sensitivity is still hindered slightly. An added note, the adhesive appears to be quite strong so I'm just hoping it isn't too hard to remove if/when required.

What a mess!
Didn't realise the complexity of this kit. Its almost like ikea flat pack. There's foam bits, plastic bits, glue bottle and an LED torch which I didn't expect. You have to put foam stickers all over the bezel buttons, speaker ports etc, then build this screen alignment tool with a sliding out tab to lower the plastic screen protector, which when I was only expecting a sticker type protector, found this was far too laborious. But the worst bit was the glue you have to pour on the screen, which needs constant mopping up round the edges when the protective screen is finally lowered down. Absolute faff, not got the time or effort for all this kind of messing which as it turned out didn't work too well, it left a huge air trap in the middle of the screen, and you can't squeegee it out either. It's then you realise you only have one shot at this (one bottle of glue) and it's messed up! Great! This then left me with two options, try an fix it or remove it entirely. I went for the fix it approach first by lifting and reapplying which then let the glue leak out round the edges even more, and left a second trapped bubble. So I removed it and put the whole lot in the bin, waste of money! Why not give us a second bottle of glue?? Or just give us a sticker type protector instead of making it so complicated.
