Very Disappointing!
Wht could/should have been a very interesting tome reads more like a AAA travel Guide. The most disappointing part is that there are no photographs, just woodcuts and copies of old drawings. Each area is limited to a page or two for descriptions and the only thing lacking are actual directions and local hotels, gas stations and restaurants. One paragraph (pg 42) ends with ...."Gharraidh are also worth a visit."Another paragraph (on page 44) states, "Kealkil is utterly charming."While this all may be true, I didn't expect to be reading a travel guide with very limited actual history. The book is nicely produced and is approximately 6.5 in by 7.5 in. It's a nice size and fits the hand well.

This book is a delight to hold and to read. I liked it so well, that I bought the other two books in the series.
