Hotronic Snapdry Boot and Glove Dryer

Great device. I use this regularly all year...in the winter I use it to dry my ski boots between days on the mountain, and the rest of the year I use it to dry my scuba diving booties. Keeps my neoprene dive booties from developing the dreaded stink. It breaks down for travel and is dual voltage which is great because I am currently living in Europe. I have recommended it to friends who have purchased it and were equally happy with it. I tried similar products in the past that just did not get the job done. I like the fact that this not only moves the air but it warms the air it circulates as well. The only thing I wish is that the price was not so high as I would like a 2nd one to put my gloves on so they could be drying the same time as my boots. Other than that this is a great product.

The purpose of this product is to gently warm and dry your boots and gloves. If you're looking for something that will get them dry (especially my GoreTex-lined gloves that are tough to dry) without damaging them from too much heat, this little sucker will do the job very well. If you're looking for something that will make your toes and fingers hot and toasty, find something else and hope you can deal with the potential damage. I've used these to dry gloves, hiking boots and ski boots, and found that they dried in a couple hours (except when absolutely soaked). They have nice attachments for gloves and boots, and the built-in timer keeps them from running all night when an hour or two would do. Unfortunately, the timer control appears to use arbitrary units (so you have to remember roughly what an hour is) for its scale, so you have to guess a little on time.

Worked great for 8 months and just quit!!

We are using two of these as I write this review - so thankful we have them! We purchased two driers for our family of three to have while traveling. This is the first time we've used them, and my daughter's soaking gloves from today are completely and safely dry. It does take awhile, but the lower heat helps to protect your gear. Using a hairdryer melted part of a glove last year, and it takes more time to do that by hand. The heating nozzles go way down into the boots and curve to get the toes dry. They packed up nicely in our ski bags for travel and don't add much weight. We definitely recommend.

Update: Now second unit died just after 3 months. It is good when working but that's it. Very unreliable product. One star. can they make simple and durable warmer/dryer? how difficult is it?

I purchased this dryer in November of 2012 and was pleased with it until it stopped working yesterday. I shopped around and read all the reviews and decided to go with the expensive Hotronic based on reviews. No one spoke about how long theirs worked or didn't, so beware you will probably need to purchase another one. It worked one day and not the next. It is a great product, but not the quality I would have expected. That being said I am going to purchase another one because when it works it does a good job.

Excellent product. I used the Hotronic Dryer for my boots which are always wet after a day on the slopes, and it worked like a charm! I would plug it in at night before going to bed and in the morning my boots would be nice and dry. It is very easy to operate and easy to pack in a suitcase since it is so light. It is not loud but it is not completely silent either. I didn't have it on in my bedroom but I don't think it would be a problem to sleep with the Dryer on next to your bed.

OMG, the best thing for after snowboarding/skiing/running/hiking ever invented. I could have saved all of my running shoes from the horrible foot smell if I just would of known to dry out my shoes daily. When you board/ski you loose a 1/2 cup of sweat per foot, this dryer removes the moisture.I use this in the garage so I don't have to smell or hear the system. Keep in mind it is blowing whatever smell that is inside your shoes around the room.The timer on the system is a must have.

Not very powerfull and almost no heat...work if you leave on your boots all night long.
