I don't write too many reviews, especially given the thousands of products I have bought from amazon over the years. BUt these wifi bulbs are so good at such a low cost, I felt compelled to write a positive review.My home is filled with automation and consequently figured that I would have the usual hassle to download the wifi bulb app and make them work as advertised. Was I ever wrong. I literally took a bulb out of the box, put it in a lamp, downloaded the app, and integrated it with alexa in less than five minutes.The instructions are on each light bulb package. Hard to miss that. The app is straightforward, unlike other apps, one only needs to be able to read to make it all work with these bulbs. I particularly like the ability to tell alexa to change colors or turn the light on or off by voice.I took an extra minute to use the schedule function in the app to turn the light on at dusk, change to red at 11PM, and off at 12:30am for everyday of the week. It just doesn't get any easier.As an added benefit, I had pulled my old "smart bulb" out of the lamp I am using this new wifi bulb in. When I took out the old bulb, a GE product, I realized it weighs quite a bit. The new bulb is maybe 1/5th the weight. Also, the old bulb is very hot at the base, while the new bulb runs cool.Great product!

I have the Phillips lights in our house and my son wanted a bulb for his room. Their bulbs are nearly $50 AND I know that my husband will find great joy in messing with my son’s lighting. So I bought THIS bulb to avoid the cost and the bitching… I have to say, that I’m super impressed! The bulbs arrived fast! I got an email a couple days ahead of delivery regarding setup, which I forwarded to my teenage son so he’s the only one that can control his lights. There’s no hub to connect to. I told my husband I don’t know how they work so he can’t mess with the lighting. The cost was nothing compared to the Phillips bulb, which makes me want to buy it again for other areas of the house.. they have the same vibrant colors as the Phillips and are super easy to control. A great option gor a fraction of the cost! If you’re on the fence about these bulbs, get them! You won’t be disappointed!

I initially bought this as a light to enhance the Halloween decorations in front of the house. There were some interesting modes to transition on/off or from color to color. I ended up using a combination of orange, green and purple to light the front of the house. Setting up was a bit troublesome on my iPhone as I couldn't get the bulb to connect even after resetting the bulb per the directions. Luckily I also have an Android device and that one worked perfectly. One thing to note is that the bulbs only work on the 2.4GHz band and they mean it. Most routers still use at least both 2.4 and 5 GHz transmitters. One issue I do have with the bulb is that the color hues only seem to appear in the muted tones rather than the high intensity setting which seem only available as white light. No matter, like I said it is being used to enhance Halloween decorations in front of the house.Since I bought a 2-pack, I use the other one in my bedroom and connected it to Alexa. The voice controls work great as you can not only turn the light on and off, but also adjust the intensity. I'm sure there are other things embedded in the skill, but those are the only things I will need at least for now.

These smart bulbs came free with another purchase and I can see why. They are not very bright and are unable to display an accurate orange color. I would never buy these on their own and would spend more for a higher quality product. I'm not giving it a 2 or 1 star rating because it works fine and was easy to set up, but I'm just not pleased with the product quality

These are absolutely FANTASTIC devices! I have rarely been more pleased or pleasantly surprised by a purchase. The LED technology is similar if not identical to comparable products sold by Phillips and GE, but these bulbs are A QUARTER of the price. That alone might be enough to take a chance, but that's not the most important difference...To control or operate those other brand bulbs requires an expensive and complicated "home hub" system. These? Nah-ah! They connect DIRECTLY to wifi and are easily controlled by a free and VERY well-designed phone app, and can be voice controlled via Alexa or Google as well.Just as an example... in about three minutes after putting the bulbs in a three socket floor lamp, I had grouped them and created settings for bright warm light, soft warm light and three different shades of blue, saved those as scenes and can now activate any of those instantly from my chair or turn them off or on here or remotely.Excellent product, software, easy to use and affordable! I love them!

I didn't do my proper research, but soon my family and I figured out that these lead your home network vulnerable to hackers. It worked well for a couple of weeks and then all of a sudden they turn on by themselves and flicker randomly on and off. All 3 that I had, I never had them turn on/off at the same time. The app is not user friendly but easy through the Alexa app. Yes, the lights worked amazing, but scary to know that wifi bulbs made in China and app made in China can make your network vulnerable. We are unable to make a Guest Network in our router or afford a second router, otherwise maybe I would make these work. But I can't let hackers come in to my Ring doorbell and all of my other smart devices. Not secure at all.
