Great Sous Vide for the size!
When I first opened the box, I was taken aback at the size of the sous vide device. However, I soon learned that the 1000w offered by this device compared to more popular ones like the Anova and the Monoprice model only offers 800w. The increased wattage means your water bath heats up that much quicker, meaning your food can begin to cook sooner! I wish that the package would've came with some vacuum sealed bags but that is a minor point. I've already made some amazing soft-boiled eggs and juicy, medium-rare steak from this device!May I add that this device comes with a 2-year warranty, which should alleviate some fears about the device breaking down. Overall I would buy this device again if I wanted to cook both eggs and steak simultaneously!

Minor Comments
All reviews of the various Sous Vide units have complaints and the BlueTooth/WiFi models all had some complaint on the connection reliability so I decided to go with the simple unit. At the time of my purchase, there was one negative complaint on the AICOK about the quality and durability of the clip. I have only had the unit a short time but the clip looks fine and heavy duty. I did check the accuracy of the temperature with a laboratory thermometer. At 135F setting the actual temperature reaches 136.5F. Also, the Work time or cooking timer is a little off. Setting for 10 hours ended up 10 hours and 20 minutes or about 2 minutes per hour. In my opinion, these are minor issues and probably no different than other units in the same price range. A good choice.

What The Heck Is Sous Vide ;-)
My husband bought this and my attitude was, well, whatever floats your boat babe. After we had used it the first time we were watching Anthony Bourdain and as subtle as you please he slips the term "sous vide" into a sentence as casually as saying sauté or broil. I never noticed that before...hmmm.We have only used this cooker once but the results were outstanding. We grow rosemary, basil, lavender and other herbs in our garden. We have a potted indoor lemon tree. My point in mentioning this is that we have access to super fresh ingredients. I have frequently added a sprig of rosemary to chicken I was baking and afterwards thought, meh, I don't even taste that. At all. But that's what you're supposed to do right? Lift the skin, season underneath, shove lemon and herbs in there. Meh. I always figured I was doing something wrong but had no idea what.My husband used our vacuum sealer to do a super simple prep: 1/2 chicken breast, sprig of fresh rosemary, slice of lemon. I don't even think he used salt or pepper. Then he cooked the separate little packets using the sous vide cooker. HOLY BANANAS! Seriously! You can TASTE, really taste, both the rosemary and the lemon. But the taste isn't dominating. It's subtle. The chicken was cooked to perfection. It was fantastic. And now I know what sous vide means.

great entry level sous vide!
just got this yesterday and made our first steaks. the unit functioned flawlessly! heated up the water quickly thanks to 1000w and held the temp perfectly! the only negative is that it's very basic with no app support, but given the price tag it's understandable.one other thing: not really a negative, but the instructions are very confusing due to poor English translation. in fact, the manual doesn't even tell you exactly how to start cooking after inputting your cooking settings - you have to press the power button to start cooking.overall, we're very happy with it thus far!

Does not hold accurate temperatures
Bulky, confusing controls, and worst part was that the temperatures were off by 2-2.5 degrees making it completely useless as an accurate temperature cooking device. The 1000W motor was very efficient warming the water to the set temp quickly, but could not hold an accurate temp for the set cooking time.I am a professional chef and tested it with my own thermometers, took a shot on a Lightning Deal, for $55 its not bad, but I cannot recommend this to anyone.

very cost-effective and 2-year warranty
I heard from my friends that this is a new way of cooking and the results are very successful. I found this 1000 watt price, very cost-effective, especially the 2-year warranty.I got it a few days ago. I tried to make a steak. meat is delicious and juicy, but it has no taste of raw meat and is cooked just right. Another thing I like is that it has a timer, I can set the time and forget that I am cooking. Don't worry about burning or cooking for too long. I will definitely use it often in the future.

Wow, what a great tool
Wow, what a great tool. It's been a great experience so far. We ordered it with 2 day shipping and it arrived the next day. The packaging is simple and effective, easy to open.I've never used a sous vide circulator before, and was excited to try it out. The instructions that came with the circulator were extremely simple and clear, easy to follow. It even comes with a nice bag for storage.

Good experience!
My first time try with this amazing cooker. It's accurate to control the cooking temperature to any degree that I want. I tried to make a steak by using this and it was easy! More amazingly, the taste is really good! I promised the taste is better than most of the restanunat. Will try more cookings soon! It also heats water quickly and maintains the temperature even and steady. I also tried to set timer to delay the start of cooking time at anytime, and it worked so amazingly! It is super convinite to make the dinner ready by 6PM when I get home.
