(from Power Tool Superstore). I am downgrading one star as the string is shorter than what the reel can hold. First, I bought only one spool as I refill my spool with Rino-Tuff 0.065 line (blue) from HoDe. So I wanted an extra spool that was loaded and ready to roll. The spools themselves are more than durable so I see no need to throw away. What I received was a genuine Ryobi part in Ryobi packaging. The part number embossed in plastic was identical to original. Based on other comments, I unwound the line and found it was 12 feet long. I then took the unit I had just refilled and measured out almost 18 feet. So you can refill the spool with 50% more line. The Rino-Tuff is 275 feet which gives 15 refills at 18 feet.At 3c a foot, the original spool held 36c of line. I have had no feed problems on my 40V trimmer with the longer 18 feet and I don't expect any as I am not crazy about the Ryobi auto-feed that simply feeds new line every time spool starts spinning from a dead stop.

Have to manually feed the line since it doesn't auto feed. Not really what I want to do. Ok after trying to use this a few times I have to give it a -5 for a review but that's not an option. Even manually feeding the string doesn't work.

When I opened the package, at first i was skeptical this spool would actually fit my Craftsman battery-powered weed-eater, but once I installed it, it actually works better than the Craftsman model! The spooling is smoother and I don't have to stop every five minutes to detangle the line.

I bought this to see if it worked as a replacement spool for a Craftsman CR2000 19.2 V battery operated string trimmer, because the part number matches. Seemingly, the only difference is the number of drive teeth on the bottom (not shown), which are more numerous on the replacement. I'm not exactly sure how, but it doesn't seem to fit perfectly (i.e. easily) into the hub of the trimmer, even though it looks almost identical to the factory shipped part. When using the trimmer, there are fairly regular problems with string advance, which can't be solved with a bump. I have to take the plastic cover off and free some string. I had thought if this worked, I would place a large-quantity order to have extras on hand when needed, but now I'm not so sure.

Replacement wire for edger

I have gone through so many of these spools, that I've decided to change to a new weed eater entirely. Most recently, an entire spool lasted only 2 sessions and I don't have a whole lot of yard to trim. Way too expensive for how easily it just breaks off and/or wears away.

Works well with my older 19v Craftsman trimmer.

The product was exactly what I wanted and fit perfectly. I am planning to order again.
