These new ones are not as good as the old ones and I will tell you why? The old ones, all you had to do was to stick them on any surface and when the batteries run out all you had to do was to turn the top and change the batteries as you could have changed them without having to do anything else. With these you can’t do that because once you stick them on the walls or any surface, the only way to change the batteries is to have to take the whole thing out and change the batteries and then have to stick them back again with another glue or double sided tapes. I don’t therefore recommend these new ones and prefer the old styles that are circular shape better.

PERFECT!! One of the best purchases I've made in a while. Super easy to install, just pop 3 batteries in, stick the magnetic adhesive to a surface, and the light has a magnet on the back so it attaches very easy. This will make changing the batteries simple as well. They pick up motion from around 6 feet and stay on for at least 20 seconds or so before going off. The light output for each is very bright, so 3 in a closet or dim area makes a huge difference. Highly recommend for the quality and pricepoint.

Straight out of the box, installed batteries as stated, lights never came on even in a darkened room. Checked the new batteries which showed 1.5 - 1.55 volts DC. Kept plying with the insertion of batteries into one unit and it finally began to work (5 minutes). The other two would intermittently come on when playing with the batteries, but would go out as soon as the cover was put on the battery compartment. The units act like they don’t make grid connections with the battery poles. Not worth the money or the effort and sent them back.

Just bright enough for small pantry closet..light turns on as soon as I open door and when door is closed light stays on for about 20 seconds then shuts off they take 3 triple A batteries

These were a gratifying surprise.The lights are bright enough in a dark space to find my way without being dazzled (as LEDs sometimes do).The little PIR sensors pick up my motion more quickly than I expected. which is a nice surprise.I have a small garage stairway that's in a dark corner that makes ordinary, wall-mounted motion-sensing lights a poor solution. I ended up using all three of these lights together in locations near the stairs to guide me in and get me up the stairs safely. I am really pleased with them.(I propped them up without the adhesive squares so I can't comment on that aspect of the product -- but the enclosed mounting kit looks adequate.)Very good value for money.

These little lights are great! We installed 2 in my sons closet and one at the bottom of our stairs. Since they attach with command strips to the wall and the light attaches with a magnet, they’re very easy to install and it’s nice to be able to remove the light if you need.

Every closet in my house has a ceiling light EXCEPT the closet next to the front door. Drove me crazy! No way to direct light into it. Had to use a flashlight to find the right coat or shoes. Took a chance on these. Mounted them to the wall on either side of the door. NOW I CAN FIND EVERYTHING AS SOON AS I REACH IN. Love the way they automatically come on with motion. Such a small thing has eliminated a ton of aggravation. Love them!

At first I didn't think the lights would be bright enough but they provide usable light.My three lights are inside a small bar-type wall that doesn't have a light source inside the 'bar' area.One attached below a cabinet, shining on the counter below. Although not as bright as a normal light in a room, it provides decent light for that small counter section. There is a 2 inch lip on cabinet which I feared would interfere with the motion detector but it has not.The other two lights are attached to the ceiling area of the bar area and shine down on the bar surface. Again, they are not as bright as a normal ceiling light but provide decent light on the bar top. They both come on as I enter the bar area.Overall it is nice to have usable light in the area and all three lights turn on and off as I'd like. It's nice to be able to walk away and know the lights will turn off shortly (about 20 seconds).I suppose that if I want brighter lights in the area then I should go with plug-in lights but this area already has a shortage of plugs so I'll deal with them as is. For $18 they work decently.
