AKLOT Lyre Harp, 7 Metal String Bone Saddle Mahogany Lye Harp with Tuning Wrench and Black Gig Bag

My wife bought this harp to start to practice on, the build quality is good, the strings not so. They appear to be cheap nylon strings, which do not conform to the standard colourings for harps. That being said its very easy to restring and bring back up to tune.The comments that suggest that some of the tuning pins are slack are valid, I had a few loose pins on this harp, generally they can be tightened by giving them a good tap with a pair of pliers (tap them from the end where you put the tuning wrench on!), they hold firm after that. I've seen piano tuners tap the tuning pegs on a sound board with a hammer when they have similar issues 😆

Although the lyre itself is beautiful and feels nice in the hands, the tuning instrument doesn't even fit the metal pegs so it can't even be tuned. The instrument tuner also looked strange or damaged from the factory. There was no company info in the box so unless you know how to play a lyre you wont even know what notes to tune the strings to. I wrote to the company as they should know how their product is being sold and delivered through Amazon sellers. Waiting to hear back from the company, will update....UPDATE: 3/1/21: I wrote Aklot customer service regarding the tuner. I sent photos and within a few hours customer service responded very kindly and worked to quickly correct the issue. The new tuner fits perfect on the lyre and everything works excellently! Now that everything is tuned and working properly it is a fantastic little lyre with very beautiful sound. Perfect for a beginner. Aklot customer service is very, very good and everything was resolved and Im thrilled with my lyre so they get 5 stars. Thank you! :)

I'm a musician, and I've wanted a harp I could stroll and play for a long time. This harp is such a wonderful little instrument! It tunes well, and has such great tone. The included strap is easily adjustable and makes it possible to stand upright while playing, or to support while sitting. The company is also wonderful- nothing was missing or broken in my delivery, but they included a card that says to contact them if anything is broken or missing, and they will replace it at no charge. The case is a gig bag of decent thickness, with an internal pocket for extra strings and a tuning key (both included), as well as an external pocket for any other accessories you may bring with you.At this price, I wasn't expecting such a great-sounding instrument, and the only thing I would suggest including in future shipments is a card/small booklet with diagrams to show different tunings. It would be nice to have a quick reference, and I think that compounded with a very accessible price, it would be another huge step forward in introducing more people to the instrument.All in all, great purchase. I can't put the thing down.

Solid Mahogany! Such a sweet little harp! I am not surprised it sold out. I hope they make more for others to enjoy.Also, some strings are wrongly placed. (Red and green are mixed up) Also I expected Red and Blue for C's and Fs but it does sound pretty and it looks pretty too. It stands on its own and does not require an additional stand.Comes with strap and tuner and a fitted carrying case. For the price it's excellent.I'm planning on travelling with this but kids could use this as well because it's sturdy and light.My favorite item I've ever purchased on Amazon.❤️PS Aklot can you please tell us how to order replacement strings in the future?
