Completes the initial Aincrad story line
If you're mostly interested in reading what amounts to the original Aincrad-only arc of "Sword Art Online", as defined in the first half of season 1 of the TV anime, this book is the last of the series you need to do that. Specifically, it provides the "light novel" version of the anime show's double-episode titled "Murder in the Safe Zone" and "Illusionary Avenger." There are two other stories in the book, one of which is set very early in Kirito's experience of Aincrad, but which was not made part of the anime series. Note that the other light novels you will need are 01 and 02, and then Progressive 01. That gives you the full story line - with the tiny exception that "Murder in the Safe Zone" in the anime version starts out with Kirito and Asuna arguing over the planning of a field boss raid - for that you need to get hold of an illustrated version of the story from very early on in the author's attempts at writing SAO. (Hint - you can find it on the web if you Google skillfully enough.)

Son likes these books...
My son is really enjoying the Sword Art series of books. Not sure if the publisher will see this review but, he wanted me to point out that in this volume there is a typo on page 184. Liz’s name is switched with Leafa’s and (in his opinion) it is in a “troublesome spot.” ;)

Waiting for the next volume to come out.
Since the anime come out, I have been following the series and I got to say that one of the best I have read so far since volume one it got me hooked. The setting, the characters, the development of the story. I personally find everything very interesting.
