Smooth and even application. Looks like candy on my nails!
This red is so very pretty. It goes on smooth and even. I wish it would last longer though for the price. The chipping at the tips after 2 to 3 days is the reason why I only gave it four stars, but I don't mind repeated applications because it is so darn pretty! Maybe it chips fast because I am always busy with my hands. I still recommend it!

Chips easily, like most 'less toxic' nail polishes
I'm moving over to using nail polishes with less harsh chemicals and toxic substances in them, and Zoya is one of the few on the market.I've tried it for several days now, and it did start chipping within a day. It's kind of smaller chips than more toxic nail polishes though - basically teeny tiny little bits that gradually fall off the ends (rather than larger chips that I often get with e.g. OPI). It's pretty easy to fix though, without looking too uneven. The colour is a deep red, and very covering. It is not transparent at all, but looks best with two coats. It is really easy to apply, and quite 'runny' (in a good way), which makes it easy to apply two thin coats. It dries VERY quickly.Compared to other less toxic nail polish brands, I think Zoya falls in the middle. I felt Avril (not available on Amazon, but on other sites) had better hold although was more transparent in colour, while Acquarella was much worse than Zoya in both coverage and hold.Compared to 'usual' nail varnish brands, Zoya does chip far easier than many other brands e.g. OPI, Mavala, Essie, Barry M, 17. The coverage is definitely comparable though, and the colour is as intense as the more expensive brands.I haven't tried using this nail polish with the Zoya base and top coat yet, but I imagine that would give better hold. (Though it is quite a pricey investment - about £30-35 for all three, and I'm not sure it will ultimately improve the chipping much...)Overall, I think Zoya is a good option if you're set on using less toxic cosmetics. But if you don't mind the harsher chemicals in high street brands, you're better off using those. Personally, I will be buying more Zoya nail polishes, as I'd rather have a bit more chipping and a bit less chemicals :)
